RE: 1991 - Secret Meeting Between Music Executives and Prison Investors
Its not secret that the best way to control a society is through music...

"What is the truth about rock music?
Music is a powerful and perhaps the most powerful medium in the world. Music. Plato says when the music of a society changes, the whole society will change.
Aristotle, a contemporary of Plato's, says when music changes there should be laws to govern the nature and the character of that music.
Lenin says that the best and the quickest way to undermine any society is through its music...
Music, ladies and gentleman, is the gift of God it was given to man to offer praises to God and to lift us up to him and to exalt Him to touch the tender
recesses of our hearts and of our minds.
Satan has taken music and he has counterfeited it, convoluted it, twisted it, exploited it and now he's using it to hammer, hammer, hammer, hammer, hammer a message into the minds and the lifestyles of this generation."

Garry Potter: Power manifests itself everywhere. All of the social institutions intended to produce and disseminate knowledge have within them a contradiction that derives from the power relations that underpin social inequality in society. The contradiction is that the institutional production of knowledge entails its dialectical opposite: structural mystification.

Just want to throw out an addition to the topic, but what other industries or agencies do you think might 'profit' (not necessarily monetarily) off the negative side of music??

Hiding

Clearly it is all about the dumbing down of America. Turning the populace into violent narcissists. It ties into the "war on drugs" and the intentional collapse of our economy. It's all part of the plan.

That's what I'm talking about.

The basis for everything that is bad and able to be implemented into the plan.

Yep. It's not like any of this is happening by accident. They have intentionally allowed our education system to become broken as well. All the while dumbing down our society with a pop culture that can only be described as mad. To top it off, they have created an illegal drug trade because of the war on drugs that is fed and consumed by a violent and narcissistic society that they have created. Not to mention a corrupt and manipulated media that just throws fuel on the fire on all of these issues. This all allows them the excuse to militarize our law enforcement and strip away more and more of our rights and freedoms. It's a vicious circle.

Not saying rap is a bad thing. Only the glorification of violence and criminality. I personally believe that genre of music is 1) the most listened to by the youth and thus 2) the best medium to influence positive change and enlighten minds....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bdr_2IAJWU

And yet I think it's a powerful tool to enlighten the masses.

Not saying this song does that to a T. I think the hatred of Bush pushed in Obama.

Just wanted to share something from the archives, that plays purgatorious advocate.

Know they enemy.

The article is wrong. Gangsta Rap started before way before 1991. It was the greatest music ever. It challenged the establishement like no music ever had before. If anybody here disagrees, you're nothing but a brainwashed slave.

I couldn't help it, heres one of the greatest songs ever... a big f*ck you to TPTB

Agreed, fight the establishment.
Til the end.'
Fight hard.

But wearing gang attire, 4XL jersies, chains, selling crack, riding in ridiculous cars, killing each other over idiocy (which is the plan) is NOT FIGHTING ANY POWERS THAT BE....and neither is portraying that lifestyle as one to be ran to, rather than ran from....

Gansta rap is a spin off of other genres of music that sold the same songs but sounded different. It wasn't required to establish a foundation of fighting the establishment.

If anything it's a facade like the 70's music actually fought the establishment. Look where we are today and say that those songs that we all somewhat respect from the 60-70s did anything but get us to exactly the point we are as a country.

Rant

Regardless of my rant....calling those who disagree with your views "Bain washed slaves" only distracts from your arguement.

And I haven't heard anyone say the article is right.

And a HUGE EFFYOU to Tha Powerz Dat B

Like the article said, 'this is much bigger than just the music industry'
and that's exactly right! It's not even about money - its about breaking down society. The cabal that controls the music industry (& everything else) has a historical record as nation wreckers and destroyers of civilization. That's all they've ever done. That's their entire history.
