3D Printer, Prints Meat
If it can print organs, why not a steak? The future of 3D printing looks bright.

I'm sure it will be perfectly healthy, just like GMO food is now lol.

Absolutely. You see we don't need no stinkin' agriculture, technology is here to save the day!

I can see restaurants bragging about the quality of their 3D food printers, rather than raving about their chefs. It's a new day for sure.

Maybe they could use it to help colonize space? If they can synthesize the proteins directly from raw materials and then print them, perhaps starvation can come to an end.

Maybe the government can design the printed food so that it fosters obedience in it's consumers?

I would definitely eat this meat. So that I could support the company in engendering a more cruelty-free planet. And also for being an example to others. Yes I would eat this.

Step one:
Puree a cow.

Step two:
Fill printer cartridge.

You would eat it even if it poses the method of ultimate control of our food source? I would want to see the long term studies that it's safe first. The one potential positive is that a lot of 3d designs will end up open sourced like software. I could imagine that filet mignon design, downloaded after an appropriate google search.

So there's this little thing called THE OCEAN.. it makes up 75% of our planet or some shit. The possibility of creating food from it, of it, with it is unquestionable (in mass abundance) assuming that the corporations don't completely poison it. Well, looks like they're halfway there. Maybe we all should just stand around and wait for the inevitable?

I wouldn't want to wait for the long-term studies. The endless torturing of defenseless animals is something that keeps me up at night. It would be worth the risk to me. I imagine that most others would hold out for long-term studies though. And many would probably never eat it at all.

Interesting idea. I have no doubt we have the technology to create a paradise for all mankind on this earth. Our fallen human nature however, will turn it into a living hell instead.
