Catholics do not worship the pope. They worship the Holy Trinity. The "pope", linguistically, is simply a term that translates to "pontif", or "bridge."

If The Virgin gave birth to Jesus, imprednated by the Holy Spirit, and remained a virgin the rest of her life, that leaves a bit of a conundrum.
Was Jesus a bastard child? If marriage has to be consumated by intercourse, was she ever really married to Joseph, orjust living in sin?
