Its a pretty standard model.

Hard to follow the Ops intentions when he hits and runs, like he did.

I personally harbor no ill will to anyone, even these idiots that did the crime. No-one got killed. So it doesn't reach that level of distinction as a capital case.

i am getting too old to even worry about this stuff that much.

Cleaning Up The Earth, Cleaning Up My Life

Lance Gouvan is trying to fill his life with positivity now that he has kicked the drug habit that nearly ruined his life.

I am a homeless man from Northampton, MA who is trying to fill the void that used to be filled with drugs and self-destructive habits.

I am 34 years old, am dyslexic and have many health problems. Some are related to my past drug abuse, and some are things that I was born with. I have a genetic disease that causes my kidneys to not function properly and am supposed to be on a special diet and all sorts of medication. Currently the only medical help I am getting is my daily trip to the methadone clinic. Something that a lot of people don't realize is that methadone patients CAN'T really do other drugs. Methadone makes it so there's no high; we would just get sick and die. I used to want to die, but I don't anymore.

I want to stop living in a tent in the woods, panhandling during the day. It's hard to regain society's trust once you've lost it. I can work hard, and I want to work hard, but my past record and my learning disabilities make me seem unemployable.

In case you are wondering how I'm writing this, I've found a friend who is helping me with the organizational part of this project. I tell her what I want this to say, and she can spell it right and make it look nice.

MY CURRENT PROJECT: the town that I live in appears nice to tourists, but I see how dirty certain parts of it actually are. There are spots along the bike path that are dangerous and people could really get hurt if nothing is done. I want clean up these and other areas, partially to make my surroundings nicer but also because I feel that my debt to society is very large. I am a strong believer in karma, and since I've quit drugs and decided to focus on making positive changes, a small series of miracles have happened. Just yesterday, someone unexpectedly gave me new shoes and socks. I don't know if they knew it or not, but my shoes were tearing apart my feet and I was really worried that I would have to go to the hospital soon.

I was happy with the project itself, but I only received $10 and ended up doing the whole thing with must myself and a guy who helped me out with his truck. I have no money to put into these projects right now because my basic needs are not being met.

I want to stay on this positive path. I am trying to not get discouraged and keep going. That's why I am asking you to take my story to heart and if it touches you, help me with my journey.

What bullshit, I used to be on Methadone and I can tell you you can definitely still get high on a lot of other drugs while you are on it, who does this guy think he is fooling? Sure it is such a strong opiate it will overpower most others but he is obviously trying to misrepresent what its like and make you think he will get sick and die if he does ANY other drugs.

Obvious junkie wanting free money for drugs is obvious.

There seems to be some discrepancy in the tale. According to the link at http://www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/2...on_on.html

"However, there was conflicting testimony about how tightly the girl was tied and whether or not the rope was fixed to the tree. She also told investigators that Gouvan and Bonny had tongue-piercings, but police found none on the suspects. Both Gouvan and Bonny deny they assaulted the girl."

It seems to me that there is doubt as to the truth of the tale. Before we convict anybody, the truth needs to be established. If it is as the child described it, yeah, that's terrible. If, as stated above, there is doubt, then perhaps the entire story was fabricated. Part of the article mentions that the child was on a time out for discipline problems and the article goes on to say that when she was found, she was whimpering with a rope around her neck. The people charged were seen walking across the field. It is worth noting that the child is apparently enrolled in The Cutchins Program, which if you look it up, has to do with behavioral issues. http://www.cutchins.org/programs/

Again, there appears to be the chance that the story was made up and while the accused do not appear to be model citizens, they may well be innocent of the accusations.

Either way, the truth needs to be established. Read the entire article.

If he's like me, he's wondering if the kid that they tried to hang is black. Its the first thing the came into my mind... lynching. Maybe that's just the programing kicking-in, or perhaps its because I've seen this ugliness way too many times...
