Frigg Stuyvesant  Wrote:
Sounds like some real nice horses.

What's sad, is that around here, most people do nothing with horses like that. They are pasture ornaments. Even the guys who rope, cut, or pen have to have someone to ride their horses during the weekAll in all, I havea nice little bunch of horses. One is sweet, quiet, and a pleasure to be around. That's Cruiser, the one you all have seen pics of my daughter riding.

Dorian, OTOH, has one mission in life, to try to bully people. Apparently the rescue people mistook fear was disrespect. I'll give her a few months, but if I can't do the trick, she's going to have to go. I have a cracked rib and concussion from our last encounter. I'm too old for that kind of thing. I've been using the same method on her that I use on all of them, but I'm afraid this one was screwed up worse pretty bad before I got to her. Cruiser wouldn't need a bell to follow her, she could just follow the sound of destruction as Dory kicked down fences and tore up the barn. S977

When my yearlings come two,I'll start them myself (a first time project for me). In the meantime, I am looking for a stocky, patient husband horse that I can also use on cattle, and a nice reining prospect to replace Lefty. Clinton Anderson is only a few hours up the road, so I am hoping he can help me take my reining prospect through the method, and I can learn more than the couple of weekend clinics I've done with him to learn the DUH method.
