My job gives me the chance to help all sorts of people every single day.

The more you do it, the easier it gets.

I'm very lucky to have this chance, I love it.

RE: A Random Act of Kindness
Jesus teaches we should give and we will be given to, for with the measure we use today, it will be measured to us tomorrow. Likewise, we are reaping today according to the measures we used yesterday. In the gospel, everyone who did what Jesus told them to do received a miracle. This is contrary to the way of the world in which everything is done for profit, therefore it goes contrary to our nature. And there are sooo many ways to "give" that involve no money at all, so even the poor can sow a seed and be assured they will reap something they need tomorrow.

This is the way of the Kingdom of God, where no money is needed.
We give when we give attention to God, and God, the ultimate giver, promises much in return for our attention...and thanksgiving...and praise. The rewards are awesome.

Big changes usually start small, what's a big picture without the subtleties of the details. Seems that a lot of people think that big changes are needed to change the small things, while it could be the other way around, the people in power surely love that kind of thing, makes their subjects feel small, powerless and insignificant so they run as rats and trample each other instead of being kind.

“Love is like the wind, you can't see it but you can feel it.” -Nicholas Sparks

“We never look beyond our assumptions and what's worse, we have given up trying to meet others; we just meet ourselves.” -Muriel Barbery

I completely agree there is no need for any reward it makes you feel good to be nice and thats all you need, the feeling that you did something right and good. If someone wants to throw jesus into the mix to get them motivated then each to their own. But if you want rewarded then it soon turns that good deed into bullshit.

I believe the point of Tash's thread was to inspire. I've regularly been inspired by others stories. If it inspires just one person to do something helpful, then Tash has done her job. Cheer Heartflowers
