To break the circle some people seem to be stuck in, i am thinking about a religion free weekend.

This would include both preaching and bashing. Both these things are not what LOP is intended for.

I don't know, D. A lot of people tie in aliens and conspiracy theories AS religion. Should they be killed, also? lol

The more I ponder this, it really tics me off. Religious posts are almost always very clearly titled. Nobody makes the haters click on the threads; they do it by choice. I'm not a Christian or Jewish but for the most part I do enjoy the posts.

Not really. That's a mechanism but not the goal. The goal of the transhumanists is god-hood, the rest is just fomenting their ability to get there. You can talk about the "nwo" (despite the fact that it's already imposed) omitting religion from the response; solely focusing on the political, social, and economic portions. Though...religion is certainly a big part of it.

As for this thread. It's his site, he can do what he wants.

Like i said. A valid topic stays. But the last two weeks, it's getting ridiculous with people trying to stir the pot with nonsense topics (pro/con)

All we do is trying to keep it a bit balanced here.

^THIS^ I am a Christian, and have noticed that Christian threads are always bombarded with the vitriol of non-Christians. Why is that? If they see the thread titles, why not just skip over them instead of deliberately being disruptive? And...why are they allowed to do this!

Because religion (and Christianity or the Church in particular) has caused such as mess of things, and arguably are a significant part of the problem, and the non-religionist understands this, even if they don't buy the notion of a greater good spiritual universe, or the Christian or other religionist interpretation of reality and Godhood. A non-religionist should be able to comment on a religious thread in this forum, in my opinion, or start a thread about the inconsistencies or alleged fallacies of religion or religious subscribers, but it's the tone and degree of disrespect that throws the discussion off, and both parties (the religionisit and non-religionist) are and have been guilty of this off-the-rails condemnation.
