I love Jesus. f*ck the poor!
But Jesus was poor... Carpenters didn't make that much before the unions...

He sorta had his OWN Health Care Plan given to Him by his Daddy. I hear it was MIRACULOUSLY good.

Gotta pay for the tax breaks that all these billionaire "job creators" need to help make their ends meet. Think of how hard of a time these billionaires are having in this tough economy. Why, I know of at least one billionaire that had to sell one of his five yachts.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The never-ending tide of articles about how Paris Hilton is now forced to wear the SAME bikini twice in a year... how she she's forced, by the "O"conomy to only purchase ONE Louis Vuitton bag a day.... and how she's faced with the horrically painful reality that she'll probably need to make more sex tapes to simply fund her hobby of making sex tapes.
Sad to see such a hard-working REAL, non-mooching, Job-Creating American forced into such difficult means.
Hard times, folks. Hard times.

The ignorance of Americans like yourself on this subject astounds even the most provincial and unlearned.
No offense intended - but someone needs to inform you that your comment confirms you have zero understanding of any aspect behind the subject of medicare or it's historical significance. As long as you remain clueless as to why the nation was forced to institute Medicare to begin with, your views on the current situation will be insignificant in the eyes of mature Americans.
Read an American history book on the subject sometime, you'll be glad you did. Once you are informed, you will experience a better life. I promise.

I know what Medicare is. It was designed back in 1965 to provide lower cost insurance to the elderly who had half the income and three times the health insurance costs as the younger people. So, the government created the system to make everyone supplement the insurance costs for the elderly. I personally don't agree with that. Healthcare insurance probably should cost substantially more for the elderly because they use substantially more healthcare. Now, we have 40 million elderly and 8 million others draining a system which is not really self-funded and statistically cannot go on in its present form. What is your cure for this - perhaps make the younger workers pay two or three times what they are now so that an ever-growing population of out-of-shape Baby Boomers can suck on it until it's akin to water going down the drain? Baby Boomers who had the advantage of the best economy in the history of the US and still couldn't manage to save for retirement but by God had to drive a $40K Suburban. And now they sit with their beer guts, bad feet, and heart disease because they never realized they had to take care of themselves. And all of our kids are having to pay for their short-sighted and selfish lifestyles. You guys can insult me all you want and call me profane names but you know I'm right.

How about people focus on the real problem.
The medical industry charges about 100,000 for every 10,000 worth of services they provide. They are allowed to rape and pillage without any oversight whatsoever.
Price fixing, cronyism and monopoly.

Reagan Speechwriter Calls Romney Campaign “Rolling Calamity”
President Ronald Reagan’s former speechwriter, Peggy Noonan, emphasized in the Wall Street Journal yesterday that Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign was not only “incompetent” but a continued disaster. This comes in the wake of widespread media coverage and criticism referencing the comments Mr. Romney made at a private fundraiser in May.
Noonan went on to say, “The Romney campaign has to get turned around. This week I called it incompetent, but only because I was being polite. I really meant ‘rolling calamity’.”

Are you really that stupid? The total they have paid over their careers doesn't account for one minor out-patient procedure let along something more serious like open heart surgery which will costs hundreds of thousands.
You mean the whole $100 in mexico versus $40000+ fiasco for the poison sting treatment?

I'm 64 and wouldn't join AARP if they paid me. Those are nothing more than the shills AARP uses to BS us into thinking AARP represents its members. It does not. It has suckered 55+ into buying their bullshit membership and garbage insurance. More sheeple suckers.
Bond, James Bond Wrote:These guys are batting 1,000....
Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan was loudly and repeatedly booed by members of the AARP on Friday after he pledged to repeal President Barack Obama’s health care reform law.
“The first step to a stronger Medicare is to repeal Obamacare,” Ryan said, pausing as the audience in New Orleans booed and shouted, “No!”
“I had a feeling there would be mixed reaction,” the candidate said, but the booing continued. “It weakens Medicare for today’s seniors and puts it at risk for the next generation.”
That, too, was met with audible groans and jeers.

If society fell apart, we - the people would build a new one. Most people are good at their core, and when we see things that are wrong we work to fix them together. Make friends with your neighbors, get involved with your community - because we will rebuild our lives, our communities, from horrible circumstances we always will.
