I do a search to see if anyone posted something before I post. Now if I post on a old thread will it pop back up on the front page?.

Sometimes a post that similar does not get many reads so I try to jazz up the name of the thread lol, make it more doomy.

well see i thought people knew what has been going on in antarctica, i have done huge amounts of research on it and finding that there is simultaneously an active volcano up there...well..that was a bit if a surprise. interesting to look into the implications, as regards the massive ice sheet melt, the ginormous storm, and the weird radar sigs that were coming off it recently, while a similar thing was happening in the arctic. sort of wanted to tie those things in together in discussion. :)

ah good, thank you! i am 'de-programming' from the other, if you know what i mean, not sure how different things are here.

the asphalt volcanoes came up this morning because a friend posted a very hot spot in the gulf of mexico this morning, screenshot on radar.

have no idea how to post pics, doesn't work for me, did want to share it though.

Yes, if you post on the old thread it will return to the front page. Old threads tend to get more replies because people have the bookmark saved.

also the volcanic activity has a new level of interest because of the corne situation. what with the magma under the GOM pushing up and suddenly there being methane bubbles in the bayou, and the sink holes...now new bubbles...also the theory of crustal displacement...and how it all ties in with solar activity...LOL!!!!

guess i'm testing the waters here to see what other people know and can contribute. i 'forced' a ban at the other place because well...yeah. ugh. :)

ah yes, that is what i have been doing. doesn't work for me. thank you for the explanation, now at least i know i was doing it right!

I actually lived in the mouth of a ancient volcano or actually still do, I am on vacation LOL click the picture and it gets bigger, first time I tried this.

i've lived on the big island a couple times, most recently we could feel magma moving under us often. we were very close.

Yeah, REC is right. Just because you aren't getting a lot of replies, does not mean your thread isn't being read. Sometimes that is better because it can reduce clutter and improve readability.
Check the # of views for a more accurate assessment.
