Hi. I haven't been here in so long that I forgot my old username. Two years, I think, but that still seems forever. I miss you guys! I've had a terrible Internet day.

So, yesterday, I found out that something I did on a forum may have provoked something that made national news.

Sorry, I'm too exhausted to even hyperlink. Anyway, the offending colonel's article mentioned in this news article seems to be a direct result of my "infiltration" of Small Wars Council, the forum of Small Wars Journal.

I went straight to ATS and explained the whole story, starting from the point where I went to the emergency room for an allergic reaction and had a bad reaction with a prescription drug, went loopy, infiltrated a SWC, trolled incoherently while intoxicated, had a huge argument thread about domestic insurgency, accidentally implicated one of my allies, persuaded them to delete the thread, but saved it for my blog in the future.

But then, out of the blue, ATS deleted my thread. Not just ATS, but ATS's second in command. There's the CEO, SkepticOverlord, the COO, Springer, and then 66 lower moderators who are usually the ones to delete things. The ordinary moderators saw and approved the thread. I know because they snipped my email adress out of it. Grrr. But then Springer himself came along and deleted it without warning. There was nothing offensive in it whatsoever and I can't for the life of me figure out their justification. Very suspicious circumstances.

So I rewrote it for GLP (another hour on top of the first!) and explained the part about ATS hating me and I got a warning that said something to the nature of, "Because the staff at Above Top Secret are obsessive control freaks, we do not allow references to ATS on our site. Any attempt to circumvent this will result in a ban." I was even more fed up at that point, and I have plenty of proxies, so did circumvent it, writing A*T.%S-- and varying it each time. I added, "Sorry, GLP. I'm not spamming or trolling anybody. I'm not stealing their content. Sometimes truth is treason." But apparently, they could see through that and I was banned before I could even preview the post. Turns out, all 11 of my high anonymous proxies are also banned coincidentally, probably because other people use them. Every Tor router is banned. I'm going to have to pay for a private proxy now. But I lost my post AGAIN! From now on I will always copy things to my clipboard before attempting to post.

I'm waiting for Springer to give me back my post so I can copy it here. If he refuses, I'm going to start some kind of petition against ATS's strict control over everything. I'm sorry, but will NOT rewrite that again here unless I have to. You'll have to wait for the scandal. Just wanted to stop by, say hi, and let you know that ATS is taking over the world!

But we don't.
