All Marijuana Dispensaries in Anaheim, La Habra Told by Feds to Shut Down
In the wake of the city of Los Angeles' decision to close all pot shops in town, some of you were thinking, Fine, I'll just go to Orange County to get my "medicine."
Not so fast.
Federal authorities today cracked down on several marijuana dispensaries in Anaheim and La Habra, ordering each and every one of them to close and ...
... moving to seize the assets of three property owners because they are housing what the feds allege are illicit pot shops.
Those shops, according to a U.S. Attorney's Office statement, include:
-AAA Wellness Center and Anaheim Patients Association, both at 503 N. Anaheim Blvd., both of which, feds say, have also been issued closure orders by the city of Anaheim. Both of those were also raided via search warrants this morning, U.S. officials said.
-Releaf Health & Wellness at 2601 West Ball Road, also the subject of an Anaheim cease and desist letter.
-Premium Organic Treatments PCA, Mid-County Patients Association and DKG Group Corp., also targets of city closure orders, at 3148-3164 East La Palma Avenue.
Letters warning property owners and operators associated with 66 dispensaries in Anaheim and La Habra were also sent out, the U.S. Attorney's Office said today.
Authorities said they believe 38 of the 64 Anaheim targets were still open; others have already closed, apparently. The two La Habra dispensaries targeted in the warning letters were raided last Thursday, too, feds said.
The warnings give those folks with still-operating dispensaries 14 days to close their doors.

Those conservatives make me sick. A liberal would never with hold medicine from the people who need it.

Well its breaking patent rights of the US Government. This has been on the books for years. Nobody did a thing, they did not care. Some patents are valid in other Countries besides the US. Not much will be done, young people have ipods playing as they walk down the street, I have to step in the snow with my cane when I use it so they don't run me over while walking down the sidewalk.
U.S. Patent no. 6630507
On October 7, 2003, a U.S. patent number 6630507 entitled "Cannabinoids as Antioxidants and Neuroprotectants" was awarded to the United States Department of Health and Human Services, based on research done at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). This patent claims that cannabinoids are "useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases such as ischemia, age-related, inflammatory, and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and HIV dementia."[46][47]
On November 17, 2011, in accordance with 35 U.S.C. 209©(1) and 37 CFR part 404.7(a)(1)(i), the National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, published in the Federal Register, that it is contemplating the grant of an exclusive patent license to practice the invention embodied in U.S. Patent 6,630,507, entitled “Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants” and PCT Application Serial No. PCT/US99/08769 and foreign equivalents thereof, entitled “Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants” [HHS Ref. No. E-287-1997/2] to KannaLife Sciences Inc., which has offices in New York, U.S. This patent and its foreign counterparts have been assigned to the Government of the United States of America. The prospective exclusive license territory may be worldwide, and the field of use may be limited to: The development and sale of cannabinoid(s) and cannabidiol(s) based therapeutics as antioxidants and neuroprotectants for use and delivery in humans, for the treatment of hepatic encephalopathy, as claimed in the Licensed Patent Rights.[48]
On June 12, 2012, KannaLife Sciences, Inc. signed an exclusive license agreement with National Institutes of Health – Office of Technology Transfer ("NIH-OTT") for the Commercialization of U.S. Patent 6,630,507, "Cannabinoids as Antioxidants and Neuroprotectants" (the "'507 Patent"). The '507 Patent includes among other things, claims directed to a method of treating diseases caused by oxidative stress by administering a therapeutically effective amount of a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that has substantially no binding to the NMDA receptor. Cannabinoids are any of a group of related compounds that include cannabinol and the active constituents of cannabis (marijuana).</ref>

This is no surprise. Most of the first basic Medicines American Indians and other indigenous people used are now synthetic drugs and against the law. Quietly they patent seeds of all kinds of foods and herbs. They now want to outlaw gardens among other basic things some depend on.
I am sure once they get all our money then they can eat that, along with the food they will grow in a clean enviro .Nothing new under the Sun. They already managed to kill 1/3 of my tribe by the early 1900s, I was told we where bitter cause we lost. I said well people are people and your turn will come. This was over 20 years ago. Now I am not bitter and I am not a fool.
I live in a very small house, but my window over looks a very large world.

Sucks, and oddly enough I was just going over the state by state earlier;
http://medicalmarijuana.procon.org/view....eID=000881
And it looks like another fine example where the popular vote means nothing, case in point last on the list Washington public vote said legalize. The lawyers got involved, ended up in their supremo idiot judging booth and they state, "well it didn't actually make it legal"...
Then if one spends a few moments on google with choice keywords, one learns that as states "legalize" it, cities and counties in the state again make it a crime. One more big "f*ck you!" Mr. taxpayer.
Well I say, fu to their economy, and their funking laws they make up out of thin air against public (democratic process) interest. When the government does no longer work for the citizen, or taxpayer that pays them, they should all be fired.
