This is it exactly. As I was reading through the lists of umpteenth cousins, the connections I found myself working out how close I am to all those US presidents, except perhaps van Buren. I'm white European (Rhneg!) and a family historian so I have a good idea of 6 of my 8 great grandparents' families ancestry (back to BC in one line).

It also used to be said that in England, if all 4 of your grandparents were born in England then you were more than probably descended from John Lackland's father, Edward III.

Not the one you are attacking, but there was a couple of genetic bottlenecks in Europe with all the plagues, particularly the Bubonic plague. Kind of narrowed the gene pool there. That is how if you are of Anglo descent, you too, most likely are related to all the POTUS'.

Quite - as you succinctly put it, the facts show that those who survived the Bubonic plague and all sorts of other diseases were those who were well fed, well cared for, with access to the best treatments of their time.

These were mostly the nobility and their relatives and servants. They predominated amongst the gene pool. This supposed 'bloodline conspiracy' is no more than the law of survival of the fittest in raw and savage action.

Almost all white western Europeans can trace their ancestry back to royalty if they research seriously. However, most people don't even know all their great-grandparents' names! So it makes it difficult for them to realise how connected they are.
