gmorning American Meth (MOVIE)
American Meth is a cross-country journey that focuses on several facets of the methamphetamine epidemic. From the oil fields of Wyoming and New Mexico to the homeless in Portland and the teens of Montana, filmmaker Justin Hunt spins a blue-collar tale of tragedy and triumph. Actor Val Kilmer lends his voicing talents as your narrator while exploring both the damage being done and community efforts to take back America.

One of my best friends is a meth addict. One of the most trustworthy people I know, too, which is ironic.

But the shit is killing him and he's not going to be able to kick the habit. It seriously bums me out to see him shake all the time and tweak like a jacked-up Energizer rabbit.

I tried the stuff once when I was a little younger (I know, young and stupid).

Worst feeling ever. Wouldn't ever touch it again. I just can't see how people get addicted to it. The feeling is...

That's nutts man, most people think it's a crazy good feeling. It's highly possible you got another substance that wasn't methamphetamine at all.

This is nothing to romanticize. Meth can kill half your brain, leading to permanent damage.

i'm gonna be honest here, i would sure like to know what they have done to "meth" in the last 10 or 15 years or so
it sounds like nothing i experienced back in the 80's
i was up for long periods of time but i didn't become addicted emaciated or pick my body until it bled
it was a party drug especially in the music community,
from what i see in these documentaries something is terribly wrong here

either they have reformulated it to be as addictive as cocaine or heroin which it didn't used to be, or its propaganda,

the only way for me to know for sure would be to give it a go
but that ain't happening chuckle

People can't make cocaine and heroin, so during a time when the trade really boomed people learned they could do it cheaply in an RV or cabin... It's really a terrible epidemic, lotta users get hooked. You can't make Cocaine or heroine at home with chemicals. (never try this) serious f*cking Felony, but people are always desperate too make a $$$

I did it a few times back in the 80's when it was called crank. It kept you up a long time and gave you an insane amount of energy. It did not make you feel erotic euphoria or make you jerk off for 35 straight hours. Modern meth is another drug. I tried it a few times and knew I had to stop or die. I liked it way too much.

I saw it reduce one guy I knew to a walking skeleton with sores on his body and teeth chipping off. Meth is most dangerous for people in the kink scene. It will remove all inhibitions and make you want to some crazy ass shit.

I have ADHD like a spork, so perhaps why my one meth experience was freaking awful.

I was up for about 28 hours straight, did go to sleep for 4 hours, woke up, and felt...like shit.

Felt highly irritable the whole time, very calm, very complacent, just not...comfortable, at all, in the least.

Maybe meth just doesn't like me. Oh well, no love loss. chuckle
