If it is any consolation the Toba Supervolcano is more likely to go first as the recent and ongoing eruptions at Mount Sinabung indicate -

Mount Sinabung is a Pleistocene-to-Holocene stratovolcano of andesite and dacite in the Karo plateau of Karo Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia, 25 miles from Lake Toba supervolcano.

It's no consolation that Toba will probably go off before Yellowstone. Toba is the granddaddy of them all. The world would be better off with the smaller super volcano Yellowstone going off first as opposed to Toba. Americans understandably would disagree with me of course because Yellowstone is in their country but from the rest of the world's point of view they are more likely to survive the fallout from a Yellowstone eruption than a Toba eruption.

I've been waiting for information such as this for a long time. However there needs to be further validation to this. If the resident birds disappear, and migrations of other bird speicies cease. Well... That would be of grave concern.

But we need more info.

Perhaps the wildlife within a perimeter of 100 miles should be watched closely.

Guess we will have to wait and see.
