I find their hardware to be quite reliable actually, though if you do suffer one of the rare failures their support leaves much to be desired.

Your post makes zero sense. Asus produces components which work with Intel and AMD cpu's.

Same here.

Have my second custom computer running an ASUS board. Also have an ASUS Transformer Prime with the additional keyboard and no issues what so ever.

Toshiba and Samsung are awesome!

I love Toshiba laptops and Samsung screens. Using two 24" LCD's right now =)

I got a 26 inch samsung monitor.. great investment so far. For $270 it was a bargain 2 years ago.. still not a bad deal today..

RE: Another ASUS hardware POS bit the dust
I feel your pain, I used to think ASUS was top of the line because it was hyped to be just that. But after my first personal computer tower that I bought (this was in my IT infancy before I could build them with eyes closed) was such an awesome workhorse, I realized they were just the cheap garbage that HP uses in their econo-line to dupe consumers and make a quick buck.

I have always been quite partial to MSI, however I have read that FoxConn, who apparently manufactures their BIOS chips on their mainboards, builds a bad alternate S1 or S3 table which causes Linux OS's to crash. Not sure if this was intentional sabotage or not but I want the freedom to run any OS on decent hardware. That's just the way it should be.

Be yourself. Find Yourself. Find Peace. Find God. Be in joy. Share your joy. Spread it joyfully!

RE: Another ASUS hardware POS bit the dust
I guess I've had such a diverse amount of hardware to know they all can have issues from time to time. I have 6 24" Asus LCD's, P6T Deluxe V2, Rampage II Extreme and a handful of other items. EVGA is also good, I have a couple Q6600 systems on their 780i boards. It takes a lot of hardware to run an effective shilling operation.
