All old hard drives are worth nothing, unless you really need some extra storage and don't care if its lost from a bad drive.

VIA is being squeezed out of all the markets by ARM on one side and the new low power Atom on the other. From the bottom to the top they now have competition.

Windows 8 will seal it. Expect them to be bought out by either Nvidia or AMD.

THX!

That's what I thought, and I couldn't find anything online to indicate otherwise.

Unless you like to play with motors.

Which I do, but it's not worth tearing this thing open.

How old are the drives? If you've got like a 10G or up you might be able to sell the controller card on eBay to somebody looking to revive a dead hard drive. Just google the model number and see if anybody is trading in the thing. Even if its a recycler they might buy it from you for a few bucks.

This thing has to be way less than a gig.

chuckle

I have file cabinet drawers full of hard disks I was just wondering if there was precious metal content or something.

Somebody may want the whole box for their museum or something. It's too bad the guy I bought it from lopped off the monitor with a sawzall, because it still worked before he did that.

I just wanted the cart.

chuckle

Lmao

I could use this thing as an ignition scope. Too bad it doesn't have an exhaust probe,
but I just wanted the cart for a garage PC, you know for music and streaming audio.
It has a nice cabinet with heavy duty casters.

Never got around to stuffing it with a machine(yet). But it was A BLEEDING EDGE OBD test system at one time.

I recently grabbed all my 3.5's/5.25's and backed them up to my storage drives. What i found is that i used to like some freaky shit!

What I used to do every time I got a new hard drive was load the entire old drive onto a partition of the new, bigger one.

I was screwing around with services on XP one time and it got all FUBAR, and I was able to rescue it, but it listed my apple IIc Imagewriter as my default printer.
