Another Pedestrian Falls Through Sidewalk In China, This Time On Video
What is it with people falling through the sidewalk in China?” asks Katie, who brought my attention to the above, which happened in Xi’an, Shaanxi province.

Remember the woman in Beijing who was plunged into boiling water when the ground inexplicably gave out from under her feet? How can you not remember.

Sidewalk. Walking. SUBMERGED BY SCALDING WATER. DISASTER. She would perish from her injuries, which we were told included her skin and flesh getting “almost separated.”

Really, why are they making it look like there's a firm surface by paving/concreting over a HOLE??? What is the point of that?

Lot of sidewalks within built up infrastructer are the tops of electric and steam line conduets. Yeah tunnels under the sidewalk. Just so you know.

When I lived in Taiwan, I never saw tape around construction sites. I asked someone why, and they replied that Taiwanese would just walk through it anyway. I had to walk past a construction site everyday, and people were doing just that...walking right through it...heedless to the huge beams being lifted above their heads.

At least the people nearby got help immediately. In some big american cities they will walk over a dead body.

Challenge your programming.
