In Pa you can open carry with some minor restrictions..(Federal Buildings, in your Car.. ect..) CC you can carry in your car.. I do not open carry.. But I believe in your right to do so...Which ever you decide.. Practice and become very familiar with the weapon...

Yeah! When they talk about grains as a measurement of weight (bullets or powder), WTF?

Anything stored standing up..(Rifle in Rack stored but down) once every 6 months or so.. Pistols laying Horizontal.. could go a little longer...

Both can be measured in Grains.. Bullets or powder...weight is generally used to define the charge of powder. If using a measure, it is adjusted to throw a given charge by weight.

No Up is ok as long as you keep them lightly oiled.. The term up vs down is irreverent because either way over time the oil will slowly travel to the lowest point..Exposing some of the inside of the Barrel So a light coat is better.. Just a little more often when stored this way..

RE: Anyone have any Shooting (Guns) Questions..Ask Away
I went into a sports store today to renew my fishing and hunting license. This place often has some good buys on long rifles. They don't sell hand guns?

I was looking at a remington 8 tac. I have the Mossberg 8 tac. So anyway the guy says "hey we have a shipment of Mosin Nagant coming in next week." I said aw I have one. So we talked about that good old bolt gun in 7.62X54R. I will have to get ya all a pic of mine. I boutht it from Sears in 1965. Payed 35 bucks I think. I had mine sporterized by my uncle who was a gun smith. This thing is a beaut. Shortenend barrel. Original stock cut down to a hunting profile. Original rear sight, but a new custom front sight to accomadate the shorter barrel. I hate how this mule kicks. My .338 is easier on my old sholder than the 54R is. But with open sights, and my bad eyes, I can destroy targets at 250 yards as long as my sholder holds out. I love the action. It is as smooth as silk. Hellufa good old weapon.

RE: Anyone have any Shooting (Guns) Questions..Ask Away
I have a rebuilt / restored model 95 Mauser that I did all of the work on myself - it includes an original Dialytan 4x BMJ sniper scope.
Why am I having to dial up twice the stated correction using a Koffler card for windspeed even when converted from MPH to KPH which the Dialytan scope uses ?
It's dead on out to 400m but beyond that I have to use scope correction plus "Kentucky Windge" to put rounds on target.

Under the heat of an alien sun .....
