Convince me to not pickup a FN FNS-9 chuckle

Shot one at the range the other day, probably one of the best factory stock striker fired gun's I've shot. The trigger is absolutely amazing for a factory trigger.

Do you have any experience with a Howa 1500? I'd like to step into longrange, aimed at a Remington 700, but this is banned from championships by my sport association.

FN .. Good guns.. (A little over Engineered)..And we know that they are very Pricey.. Most FN's are a b*tch to clean.. (Check online for a cleaning video)..You can get around this problem by buying an Ultrasonic cleaner though..Step one open slide drop gun in..(Water and Dawn Dish Detergent),,Run for one full cycle.. Step 2 repeat with L and R Ultrasonic gun Lube.. Let gun sit until dry.. This is a price fix but it is neat if you shoot a lot....And we know that they are very Pricey...

No questions. Just wanted to say I ordered a crossbreed supertuck for G23. Hope the wait and $ is worth it. Lots of good reviews.

Happy shooting JF.

My friend who is a Gunsmith has a 1500 in 223..He likes it.. Good gun for the money.. His is several years old so I can not speak on the current production line...But I will say that for the past 5 or so years Remington has gone down hill.. So I would be leary of them.. I will also add that Savage has done the opposite for the past several years their guns represent a great value and Accuracy for the $$$.. Some of the Triggers are still a little crappy.. But that is why we have Timney...

A lot of my shooting buddies that CC love those..I Cc mostly the Kahr PM 9 (all Black)..and it goes right into a pocket holster in my vest pocket.. My G 23 when carried goes into an El Paso Saddlery Shoulder Holster..(Yes I am that old school) sometimes i even carry a Revolver...BTW do you have any thoughts about buying a little 380?? I am dead set against carrying a little mouse gun.. Most of them have been recalled at one time..and do not stand up if shot or practiced with a lot...

How many clicks of windage do I need for a 10mph crosswind with an M-14 that was sighted in with zero wind?

if i'm wrong please say, i don't really know if it's true.

but, why is there a gun company, for example, remington, or maybe if i go buy a gun like a 9mm, why do gun companies make a gun, but not make an official bullet for the gun or model of the gun. why is it another company that makes the ammo.

if i walk into a gun store, buy a 9mm gun, why doesn't it come with bullets made by the gunmaker specifically for that model made by the people who made the gun. it's sounds like a stupid question i know, but one i was just curious about.

Have you given any thought to the Caliber?? I am a big 22 250 kinda guy.. But you will want to start to reload your own ...If you are going to get a good gun then spend the $$ to have it tweaked..trigger job..or glass bedded..or even free float the Barrel you will want to Roll your own to take advantage of the Gun...

That depends on the Distance to the target...and the weight of the Boolit...

Liability.. I have a model 41 Smith and Wesson 22 cal Target pistol..I could not get them to tell me what they test fired them with at the factory..It turned out to be the CCI standard Velocity round..aka Blue Box).. Why would they not tell me.. Liability is what I was told.. I will add this Guns shoot different weight boolits and different types of ammo differently..Some better some worse..(I am talking accuracy here) Even a 22 cal pistol likes certain manufactures loads better than others..Even different boolit weights...There are so many shooting forums out there where you can get good info on what a certain gun likes to shoot.. and what modifications you can make to help improve the weapon..

Thought about a .308. I know there are better cartdridges with less bullet drop, but I like the .308.

Is maybe a scoped swedish mauser an alternative for lets say 450 yards max? That is the longest distance I can shoot here at shooting clubs.
