Is he shooting 38 specials out of it?/ When was the last time he cleaned it?/ Is it a Taurus??

Ahh man I'm not sure what ammo he was using... I believe it is a Taurus yes...
Ok do not take this personal.. There is a reason why I asked if it was a Taurus...Let me just say that their Quality control standards are not what they should be..They will fix it free of charge... But the problem could re occur...(That is about as kind as I could put it to you)

Hey I don't take it personal it's his weapon.. I have a Sig Saur 9-226 and saber m-4, both of which I'm pleased with... Heartflowers

Ok it's not 38 special. Just regular .357 ammo and it is a Taurus..

Since this is your brother.. I have seen Taurus revolvers (357) Lock Up after a few rounds of firing.. They are not made to handle repeated pounding.. My best advice is to send it back to them(Taurus) and let them fix it.. Then I would trade his Taurus on a good used Smith and Wesson 686 (357 Mag).. He will be very happy

My brother has a .357 Magnum revolver with a swing out cylinder and after firing several rounds there is a build up of lead (or whatever the projectile is made out of) above the chamber.. It will continue to build up if I dont chip it out after firing a few rounds... A bit of the lead will hit my cheek when firing if I'm not diligent cleaning it out...
It almost seems as if the cylinder isn't perfectly alligned with the chamber and it is shaving off a bit of each round that is fired.. Does it need an adjustment? I'm not sure this is necessarily the problem, but it's my best guess... Any suggestions?

This is most likely due to the timing. Like you said, the cylinder isn't aligning perfectly with the "forcing cone" at the rear of the barrel. I just picked up a Colt Python for a screamin' good price. I suspect I'll have the same problem as you since the cylinder rotates just a bit when the hammer's cocked. At any rate, .38Spl will be the ammo put through it at the range.

Best gun to rob a bank with? Looking for one that is easy to hide so i can whip it out without looking suspicious with it in my pocket/hoodie whatever. But i expect to put up a gun fight if necessary. Will i need more than 1 gun? Pistol or rifle?
