Are You Ever Tired of Thinking Other People's Thoughts?
I hate it when I can't just think my own thoughts and everyone around me keeps them occupied with what I think they're thinking about everything I say or do. How do I stop this from taking over my mind? Thanks.

I dunno. been this way for me since 2005.
just endure affliction, convert to Christ and stay that way, praying and having hope. :)

1 Corinthians 14:11
Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.

listen to the entire book of Psalms.

lots of musicians, i've noticed, have this problem.

Psalm 56:
5Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.

Psalm 38:
7For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

Psalm 41:
3The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

Psalm 64

"the inward thought"

2 Corinthians 12:
10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Psalm 54:
4Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

5He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.

Psalm 37:
8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

Ya, some act and talk like nazis. Always someone else made them do whatever anti-social act they are going to pull next.

Perhaps they are demons.

Yawn That's all i can come up with right now. Hello Night.

Good suggestions and don't get too invested in forum soaps or dramas. That and don't associate yourself with anything but yourself, especially on forums that like to play mind games with people through various media. For example, the game may be that you are a cat, a dog or a deer for example then next play is that you are roadkill. You can play that if you like but it gets old after a while as it's just mind games and does exactly what you said in your OP. If you play those games too long it can make you cynical or leery of being likened to anything and then you can't even really appreciate the beauty in a video of say a deer and a dog frolicking because you don't want to get emotionally involved and let other people play with your emotions. There can be real life negative ramifications from that. Just a word of warning for you in case you really have a tendency to and want to get away from letting people run your thoughts.

Psalm 41:1
Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

Psalm 119:113
I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.

Psalm 94
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?sea...ersion=KJV

Psalm 94:
1O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

Psalm 94:
11The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

Psalm 94:
19In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

Psalm 139:
17How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

18If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

Proverbs 15:
26The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.

I find/found Proverbs easy to understand, if I can be so blessed to say that I understand it, because it's not a story with a plot, but a list of instructions; live by every word of God.
If you're feeling discouraged, it's what the evil spirit of infirmity allowing for voices wants, it serves demons to get to people, and instinctually those demons hate hearing The Word of God; pray for those that curse you and despitefully use you, the rain falls on the just and unjust, have hope -
Matthew 5:43-48

Hebrews 4:
12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

13Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Isaiah 55:
6Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Proverbs 28:
27He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

28When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.

Proverbs 29:
7The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

Proverbs 31:
9Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

I know the feeling OP.

It might not be so bad if everyone wasn’t an idiot…

But they are, so pretty much isolation and mediation are your best bets.

"PEACE BE STILL" Crystal Lewis

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnDtjFsz6f8

Psalm 46:
10Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Philippians 4:
7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Psalm 119:
126It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.

Psalm 119:
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?sea...ersion=KJV

Psalm 119:
49Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

50This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

51The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law.

52I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself.

Psalm 119:
67Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.

68Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.

69The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.

70Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law.

71It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

Psalm 119:
74They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.

75I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

76Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.

77Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.

78Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts.

79Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies.

80Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.

Psalm 119:
92Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

Psalm 119:
107I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word.

Psalm 119
125I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

126It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.

Psalm 119:
153Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.

154Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.

Psalm 46:
10Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Psalm 96:10
Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

Psalm 111:
5He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

6He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.

2 Samuel 22:44
Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.

Psalm 18:43
Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.

Psalm 2:
8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

You gotta find a way to not let it bother you.

Sure, people are jackasses 90% of them, rest assured knowing that you're the better person because you don't resort to messing with someone's head as they have. Jhikpghf
