Odd, then I wonder what my father was building in the precision automation department at Rockwell Automation all those years...

Well I dont know dipshit? But Rockwell doesnt build assembly equipment for the commercial electronics industry. Maybe you should ask your daddy for clarification before you are strung out to dry on a subject you know nothing about. LOL

Yes... they do... ignorant troll.

LOL and who buys their crap you stupid dingbat, not real manufacturers. Especially nobody that produces anything described in this thread.

Go give Daddy a kiss on the head and tell him "nice try." LOL Doofus

They have MANY customers who utilize Rockwell Automation products as well as their subsidiary Allen-Bradley among others. What exactly is your experience in the industry that makes you an expert? None, you're just trolling while making yourself look like an idiot in the process. Don't bother with any form of retort, I prefer to communicate with people of equal or better intellect only.

You are the moran that doesn't think a chipset is hardware you don't have much authority about electronics.

I don't care who you claimed to work for that is just stupid.

Hardware: anything technological that is physical
Software: anything technological that is only in the form of information
Firmware: any software that resides on silicon or germanium

Got it?

Of course not because if a hammer hit you on the head you would think gosh that software really felt bad when smashed in my head.

OMG, not this moron again? Jptdknpa

Component devices like chips or chipsets are NOT "hardware" you idiot. They are components. And I guess in the last 2-3 months since that thread you have consulted HOW MANY industry experts to come to your brilliant (but incorrect) conclusions? LOL

Listen junior, you dont have to believe me, pick up your Yellow Pages and call your local Arrow or Avnet office, ask for a sales rep and ask them if the chips they sell are "hardware." Then you report back here and tell us what you found out. Just because a device is encased in hard plastic or ceramic it doesnt make it hardware nimrod.

BTW, is your Daddy in the business too. Bwahahahahahaha

If folks can't respond with common decency in threads, they shouldn't be in the threads... abuses and constant unwarranted name calling are ground for banning. Just a reminder...

Chupi enjoys crumpled threads, drizzled with Balsamic vinegar, and Tiny likes Raw Trollmeat sushi-like.

RE: Are brand name electronics from Walmart lower quality?
my husband did his research on the Magnavox 47 inch tv he wanted and found a display model he liked.he got his name put on the list to sell it to when they replace the display.
so he did get the tv for hundreds less than the boxed ones.
just over a year later, the picture starts going out.sound works fine but no picture.

went to searching and found Magnavox tvs are very well known to break down just after warranty expires...
and alot of these people paid 1500 bucks for a tv that only lasts for a year.
the reason is the incredibly cheap parts used for this brand.
http://www.consumeraffairs.com/home_elec...ilips.html

its to keep costs down.
it also creates more sales...

RE: Are brand name electronics from Walmart lower quality?
The RCA TV's that were sold in the store I worked at were 5 times better workmanship than the walmart junk that came in for repair. Walmart stuff had obvious rework spots, burnt off circuit traces etc. And they were under warranty.

Just wondering. Is it the same quality product you'd buy from a regular electronics store? I've hear the Walmart stuff is pretty bad. True?

Here's the deal.

Manufacturers produce special (cheap) electronics for black friday. Otherwise, most if not all of it is just cross sku'd retail. Meaning it's the same stuff you buy from other stores but might be rebranded or have a different box/sku (barcode).

I've actually purchased some significant electronics from walmart over the past years. LCD TV (32") 5 years ago. LCD (20") 3 years ago. Netbook 4 years ago. All of it is working as new; had to replace the keyboard on the netbook because I spilled coke (er...whiskey) on it. This wasn't top shelf stuff either it was the generic stuff (except the netbook).

So when someone tells you some shit about "low quality electronics" at walmart...it's just shit. Same factory for the generic stuff and actually the quality on the top end stuff has gone down somewhat. Just look at the model and note the build quality and you'll know the difference.
