Looks like a very interesting 3 pages since I was here last and I have to leave for the day. But I get to go out to lunch and to a bookstore and to see flowers.


Mist, if you said, I was skimming and missed it. If you don't believe in evolution or creationism, what do you believe in? That we were put here by another race from somewhere else in the universe? I don't know what I believe, but the third choice is in the running for me.

I believe in a bit of both, Rose. There is an intellegent creative force that is very active and there are evolutionary changes that effect all things. I don't believe we came from apes and I am open to the idea that we may have come from other places in the cosmos but that still doesn't settle the original issue of how we came to be no matter where it was we came to be.

A stationary Mars was rising in Norman (-180- Neptune and -90- Moon's Nodes) when Friday's tornado struck. The mutable nature of the current grand cross/square (between Mars, Neptune, and Nodes) reflects highly changeable conditions in general.

Long Wave Astrology in 2012-2013– Mars Stationary Direct at 4 Virgo Affecting Us Through 2014

In case you didn’t notice, Mars has been in Virgo a LONG time! The retrograde period since late January has been a time of decreased momentum, deconstruction of some ways of doing things, and a time of preparing, training, taking care of things as prelude to future constructions, and on the whole a slow-mo time. That changes now!


After 80 days, Mars is finally going stationary direct at 4 Virgo at 8:53 pm PDT, 11:53 pm EDT April 13, 4:53 am Greenwich April 14. This marks a point where Mars accelerates its pace relative to the Sun, where what we thought we began in late November 2011 resumes its development.

It is a platform from which many new activities and projects leap forward after these months of waiting, preparing, and planning. We will finally begin to move forward in very definitive ways, now that we've undone or redone something, or had to wait for something else to be done before we could pick up on whatever we've had to postpone since January.

So all things Virgo begin to move forward anew. We began to move into this energy last November, and hit a threshold in mid-January at 24 Virgo. Since then, during the retrograde period, we've been getting a fresh viewpoint and a “vibrant simplicity” through “Spirit-born imagination,” and gotten over some preconceptions.

Some have returned to a “cherishing of young ideas,” and a youthful approach to our Divine potentials as adults. Many have found “a highly ingenuous creativity” through which we can “make all contact with others a worthwhile relationship.”

Now Mars is direct at 4 Virgo. The Sabian Symbol for 4 Virgo is “A colored child is playing with white children.” Rudhyar in the Mandala states this degree is about “overcoming sociocultural prejudices,” and becoming free from biases of the particular social mores we were brought up with. It’s a degree of technique of characterization as we learn what forms are significant and which are not.

Dr. Jones states this is a degree of “the actual illimitability of human relationships,” where we are building elements of our character into “the fabric of both a whole self and an integrated group.” Here we learn to appreciate individual differences in responses that are the basis of a greater satisfaction. The keyword is INTIMACY, and when operating positively, he says this degree is “successful participation in every possible variety of experience.”

As Mars begins to speed up, you can expect more energy in the coming weeks, as well as a sense that the momentum is picking up, moving substantially faster than it has the past 11 weeks. Much we've been waiting for will now develop more rapidly than it has so far this year.

If you have not come across the sabian symbols, here is a brief explanation of what they entail.

Every degree of the zodiac is allocated a very specific symbol, called a Sabian symbol, so in all, there are 360 Sabian symbols. That means that each of the ten planets in your natal chart is connected to a specific Sabian symbol, as are your four angles; the Midheaven or the Medium Coeli, Imum Coeli or the Nadir, Ascendant and Descendant. Many eminent Astrologers suggest that the entire destiny of an individual is revealed in the Sabian symbolism, yet most people are unfamiliar with these enigmatic visual keys to the deeper aspects of life's mysteries.

The Sabian Symbols where created though a collaboration between astrologer Marc Edmund Jones and Psychic Elsie Wheeler. The channelling and assignment of the symbols took place in Balboa Park, San Diego in 1925. Marc Edmund Jones had prepared 360 cards, each marked with a degree of the zodiac before Elsie began the task of channelling. As she described each individual visionary symbol, Marc Edmund Jones shuffled the cards face down before drawing one at random and assigning Elsie's vision to the degree noted on the card. During the course of one day all 360 symbols were channelled by Elsie and assigned by Marc Edmund Jones, which was a massive achievement by any standards.

The symbols were named the Sabian Symbols by Marc Edmund Jones because he believed that Elsie Wheeler had tapped into what he called the 'ancient mind matrix' of the Sabian alchemists of ancient Mesopotamia.

The short key word commentaries found here are intended to provide a clue to the meaning of each symbol and can be used to gain deeper insight into your natal chart or as an oracle to help you discover a deeper insight to your hopes and fears.

The Sabian Symbols add a great deal of additional depth to the meaning and interpretation of your chart and are an invaluable esoteric tool for those who want to work on specific areas of their chart in an in-depth way, usually by meditation.

Using the Sabian Symbols in Chart Angle Delineation

In astrology, the cusps of the four angles created by the horizon and meridian axes are referred to as the angles of the chart. These four important points on the chart wheel are commonly known as the Ascendant, the Midheaven or Medium Coeli (M.C.), the Descendant, and the Imum Coeli (I.C.).

The following article attemps to summerise Dane Rudhyar's delineation of the four angles as they are related to the Sabian Symbols.

Ascendant: "WHAT is the essence-meaning or theme?"
Descendant: "WHERE will this theme lead to?"
Nadir: "HOW can one best act in order to succeed?"
Midheaven: "WHY this process? What is the purpose of all this?

Specifically, for a Natal chart:

Ascendant asks: "Who am I?"
Descendant asks: "Where am I going?"
Nadir asks: "How do I best get there?"
Midheaven asks: "Why am I living this lifetime?"

Discovering and meditating upon the correct Sabian Symbol for your Ascendant is a tremendously powerful experience for most people, as it clearly defines the consciousness-essence of the Self in the present lifetime. An exact birth-time and place will always produce an Ascendant degree whose Sabian Symbol explicitly answers the question ‘who am I?’ If your consciousness is oriented along a path of self- knowledge then you will relate to the correct symbol immediately, as the connection clicks into place you may even experience a seeming relief at being reminded of something forgotten in the confusion of incarnate existence. There is a definite sense of, that’s right! I'd almost forgotten, that’s who I am!"

Using material items, such as dice, cards, and constellations and planetary movements to determine your life's direction is tying one's self to a crib of sorts.

It's like never letting go of mama.

I think most of you will find that many people who believe in astrology also worship a 'mother' goddess.

The problem in it all is that there is a God, and God plays with people, and one can't really tell if reality is being manipulated or not, or if we are making ourselves fit the patterns we see.

If someone had told you that you were an Aries, and you were born under a different sign, would you act more like an Aries, even though you were born under a different sign?

To test this theory, if you have an integrity at all within you, go to the zodiac chart, clear your preconceptions about who and what you are, and pick a random sign. Now pretend that you were born under this sign. Look at the information under it, the characteristics, you may be surprised that you have many of them in you.

Divide and conquer.

Is it God playing with you, or some other being, working to limit your uniqueness, and trying to fit you into a mold?

There is no spoon?

There is no zodiac.

On other worlds, they have their own constellations and star patterns. If you live on their planet, does the star charts of their world affect how you live, or the star charts on the world you were born into?

Is there a galactic zodiac for beings that live eons? Do they see the galaxies twirl around each other and make connections between their lives and the pattern of somersaulting galaxies?

Why, then, the umbilical cord?

In the future, extraterrestrial xenosociologists will come up with the theory that zodiac worship systems will be the hallmark of a primitive society, and that when most of the population is weened from this superstition, they will find that other superstitions disappear as well, and new ones will come to take their place, but it will still be the turning point from when a society stops worshiping the stars and finally begins exploring the stars.

The best way to be connected, which is a blessing, and not a superstition or immature way of being, is to be responsible to each other, to the planet, to the universe, to God.

To give and care and sacrifice and love and receive love, to and from each other. That's how we move out of the crib and into a god-like state.

There's plenty of magic in the world without the zodiac. I promise.
