I have plenty of motivation to avoid a 1 hour commute plus having to get dressed up, plus not being as productive in the office. In addition, I'm often on the phone working out programming problems with our India suppliers and others around the U.S. - makes no sense to go into the office just to sit on the phone.

by Lynn Hayes The Sun enters Taurus on the 19th and seeks comfort and pleasure in the simple and the safe, especially at the Taurus New Moon when the solar conscious principle aligns with the lunar instincts in the sign of Earthly experience and stability.

The New Moon is the initiation of the new lunar cycle, and after a month of working through imbalances in our personal lives and unearthing Plutonian treasures and being exhausted by Martian passion, this Taurus New Moon will provide a resting place within which to find harmony and serenity.

The New Moon is in a harmonious trine to Mars which helps to activate our inner desires and inspire us to take the kind of action that will facilitate our growth. Venus, the lunar ruler, makes no major aspects and is thus enabled to operate free from constriction and restraint. This is a beautiful time of retreat and enjoyment of the simpler things that bring simple pleasure into the human life.

Mercury is within a day of its final conjunction to Uranus, so the mind is stimulated and ready to embrace new ideas and ways of thinking although with the strong Earth influence in the New Moon chart any action will be slow to unfold. Uranus is getting ever closer to the exact square to Pluto, though, so there is a hint and an echo of the revolutionary excitement that is just around the corner.

You must be really good talking with people with accents. I have a really difficult time of it. I think my ear has to be trained.

Its gotten better with practice. One of my secrets is to have a really good headset that fits over both ears.

The fact is that with Chiron, we’re all a bit stupid with it. It was discovered relatively recently – in 1977 – and named after Chiron, the Wise Centaur who trained Warriors. As opposed to some of the other Centaurs who galloped about on drunken benders, pissing off goddesses and starting wars.

But does the mythology of Chiron fit with the astrological Chiron? Not really i.m.o. But then again, I have never agreed with or resonated with anything i’ve read about Chiron. I know, i know…Super New Age astrologers love him as apparently some sort of a rainbow bridge to higher consciousness.

Some say Chiron is like a more sensitive version of Saturn, to do with wounds and healing. Others say he is the maverick, more like the awesome Magician card of Tarot. Chiron can be seen as a sexy Saturn-Uranus hybrid. Frankly, i tend to ignore Chiron whenever possible, it’s easy at the mo because Chiron and Neptune are SO close together, right?

BUT if you do some astrological retro-engineering, always the best way to learn astrology, I guarantee you will wow out at Chiron.

WHAT is astrological retro-engineering? It’s when you go back over your entire life and check the astro for your most major events and turning points. Yes, there will be a lot going on at such intense times – Pluto is always a contender lol – but when i did it recently, i decided to finally look at Chiron and voila: Chiron on my angles (Descendent, Midheaven, Ascendent) and most important planets at all of the most vital and evolution-intensive times.

Sunday is Earth Day!!!! Plant a tree!

Moon Units for April 22-28, 2012

Sunday is Earth Day. There’s no better time to celebrate than during the fertile, earthy sign of Taurus, symbolized by Gaia herself. Surely there’s no need to encourage you to get outside on Sunday is there? If you can’t plant something, at least enjoy the day that Mother Earth brings in whichever way she clothes it ~ rain, snow, or sunshine. Arbor Day is celebrated on Friday, the 27th. Gaia wouldn’t mind a bit if you planted a tree, perhaps in someone’s honor or memory.

Saturday, the 21st, is also the New Moon in Taurus, so the weekend is heady with Taurus energy ~ Sun and Moon in Taurus and Earth Day. Make the most of it, whether indoors or out. And don’t forget that Taurus wants you to show it the money! Stick back some of that spending money for a rainy day. If you have a mutable sign on your 2nd House like I do, be firm with yourself! You’ll be glad you’ve got a secret stash.
