I'll continue to live, laugh and cry just as hard as I always have. No worries here.

But one thing is certain. The entire Western economic paradigm is collapsing. And if you want to count that as as "doom", then it's certainly doom you can count on.

To try and ignore it and not make any steps to prepare yourself and your loved ones before a massive economic hurricane is idiocy.

Just my thoughts.

learn ... 10 years of 2012 predictions and when it all comes to
naught, they don't learn a thing. After that, it's just another 10 years of

It's all a matter of degree.
A few preps for another Great(er) Depression is one thing.
But, again, you are rationalizing away my main point.

That each day, and for YEARS, there are many, many dire breathless
predictions herein that NEVER COME TO PASS. And no one ever owns
up to it. And I'm simply asking if people are prepared to own up to
it in 2013 should none of the events on my list come to pass.

You've got to admit ... this is a pretty long list ... and it's not even
complete. I'm sure there are many more I'm forgetting.

I've seen your point in your posts.

But such is human nature.....:"Doom" is an entertaining hobby for some and for others, a thriving business. It is what it is.

Attempting to read the tea leaves and then pontificating about the readings is more human than human, IMHO....

One thing for sure is that we'll continue to spiral into economic malaise, it doesn't appear that there's any viable solution. Another thing is continued natural disasters. That doesn't necessarily mean widespread, colossal disasters like a tsunami or huge earthquake, but more localized ones such as the tornados, wildfires, and flooding. We've always had problems like this, yes, but more people are being affected then ever before, and it's going to slowly eat away at us economically and emotionally.

Don't you see what's going on here? As the list continues to grow
(and it will, indefinitely) not only does your paranoia grow, but your
certainty of the inevitability of doom grows, along with your certainty
that the end times are fast approaching.

But it's all in your head ... since it's your own deluded list ...

But there's a big difference between long-term economic
malaise/recession and total collapse/doom. And all I'm saying is that
the long list of 30+ dooms, which y'all are so darn certain of, including
economic doom -- are hardly a certainty.

And when 2013 rolls around no one here will own up to the fact
that despite all the doomsterbation, the doom never cums -- which
means you are simply deluded in your abject certitude.
