North Korea says no longer bound by nuclear test moratorium

(Reuters) - North Korea on Tuesday dismissed a rebuke by the U.N. Security Council of its failed long-range rocket launch and said it was no longer bound by an agreement with the United States for a moratorium on missile and nuclear tests and arms inspection.

The Security Council on Monday condemned the North for Friday's rocket launch and warned of further action if Pyongyang carried out a nuclear test, reflecting concern that it may follow a pattern it set in 2009 with its second nuclear test.

"We resolutely and totally reject the unreasonable behaviour of the UNSC to violate (our) legitimate right to launch satellites," the North said in a statement carried by the official KCNA news agency.

U.S. looking at "all options" on North Korea as nuclear test looms

SEOUL (Reuters) - The United States is looking at "all options" as it seeks to discourage North Korea from conducting a third nuclear test, a senior U.S. military officer said on Tuesday, days after a failed long-range rocket launch by the North that drew international condemnation.

The U.N. Security Council on Monday condemned reclusive North Korea for Friday's rocket launch and warned of further action if Pyongyang carries out a nuclear test, reflecting concern that it may follow a pattern it set in 2009 during its second nuclear test.

Commander of U.S. Pacific Command Admiral Samuel Locklear said Washington had a range of options to consider in response to any further provocation by the North.

Right...there's no f*cking way - you could skin me alive before I volunteer for that. There's already 28,000+ American troops stationed in the South. Imagine what bloody retaliatory strike would ensue if we decided to engage the North because of a nuclear test.

This could be bad...

How is he a Kenyan? Because his father was a Kenyan? If Obama Sr and his mother were never married in Kenya Obama Jr. cannot be a Kenyan.

Deviating from the truth is counter-productive.

Perhaps some time we could debate all that. But this isn't the right thread for it. I invite all the birthers to attend.
