NormalIsSubjective Wrote:Redheaded Stepchild Wrote:and while I've seen plenty of wasps and hornets, I've seen only a couple of bees. It's just...odd.
I've noticed the same thing here in southern Ontario.
Kind of minimal on all the above here in NE Ohio Red.
Hardly any wasps, honeys, mosquitoes (yay) or bumblebees....but I'm grateful to have seen a few of them all on a regular basis. And I have seen the lightening bugs, earlier than ever this year.
We had an unprecedented mild winter here so nature methinks is adjusting, hopefully for the better ;)

RE: Bees are dropping to the ground dazed!
In the US, the big bee die offs have been due to a fungal infection.

RE: Bees are dropping to the ground dazed!
Azrael Wrote:This is strange, we have a colony of bees living in a cavity at my home in Manchester UK. The bees seem to have been having some kind of fit over the last few days. They have been flying around disorientated and dropping to the ground completely still - after a few minutes they had been flying off completely fine.
However I was just sat out on the patio and watched around 10 bees hit the ground hard they look dead.
We have not sprayed any pesticides or toxic agents - I know bees use inbuilt homing to get back to their hive, this too seems to have been affected by whatever is going on as they cannot find their hive as quickly as they had last week.
Anybody know what is going on or have witnessed the same in the UK or anywhere else in the world?
I've noticed this in Western Australia over the past three days!!!! I observed a few on the ground, and one bee kept turning left and right trying to orientate itself with the sun? then took off....
Only some were dying, maybe half....
Another was struggling as if in pain, and stumbling along the ground, i've seen about 20 do this just doing the gardening.
Is this something to do with Colony Collapse Disorder? (Aussie bees meant to be immune), something to do with the sun position or cosmic radiation?, or geomagnetic related?

They were probably just a little buzzed.

Out here in California they think it is due to Monsanto seed. In area were Monsanto seed is not planted the bees are fine. In farmland where the Monsanto seed has been planted the bees are all dead.

They may very well have fed on fermented juice/nectar & are just drunk.

Death of the Bees. Genetically Modified Crops and the Decline of Bee Colonies in North America
Check out the photos that compare GMO fed bees with organic--scary!
http://globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=25950
-----------------------------------
As for the "dizzy bees," that sounds like some type of neurotoxin (chemtrails???). A few years ago, our city used to regularly spray for mosquitoes with baygon. The next day, I would see bees "breakdancing" in circles on the streets and sidewalks and die soon afterward.
This activity stopped when the city switched insecticides the following year.

Dissonant Cog Wrote:There seems to be a distinct lack of bees here (southern europe), but I noticed a couple on their backs writhing in circles a couple of days ago.
There are plenty of hornets though!
There is also a heatwave, held in with chemtrails.

What suffocating days they are to, no fresh air. People, animals, even the plant life droops, they appear to be numbed out, disoriented under the spray blanket ... so often now.
People see the bees but not the environment we now live in. Go figure.

LoP Guest Wrote:our neighbor was commenting last year about how hard the bumblebees were to kill. he'd spray them, but they didn't die. but they were dying, on our patio. just a delayed reaction.
we do have honeybees here too. not near any farms i know of, but in the burbs.
Why would your neighbour want to kill bumblebees? They are pollinators too. We have 4 different kinds that come around every day at different times (yellow/black ones, black ones with red bums, black/white ones and mostly black with orange stripes). Lots of different honeybees too, from very small ones to the big brown ones......But my area banned pesticides about 3 years ago and the bees have made an incredible come back since then. It scares me how many people in different places have reported bee populations down, strange behaviour, deaths.
It makes me really appreciate them. Without them, we don't have most of our food...........Bees are precious.

"There is a quotation: "If honey bees died out, mankind would only have four years to live." This is supposedly attributed to Albert Einstein, though it is very unlikely to be his.
However, this doesn't detract from the seriousness of the situation. Roughly four out of every five plants are insect pollinated, and of those nearly 90 per cent are pollinated by bees. If they were lost very many flowers, trees and vegetables would not be pollinated. Without pollination they would not produce seeds or fruit. Roughly one mouthful out of every three of the food you eat is directly attributable to the work of bees. Without bees, the world would be a lot less colourful, and we would have quite a bit less to eat. There would probably be widespread starvation, but I doubt there would be enough to completely kill off the human race."
