I'm a little over 3 years out myself (I went cold turkey - twas very bad). I don't have time to watch the video (have to get some work done here), but just wanted say hi. I know that you have endlessly campaigned to bring awareness to this issue (even remember posting on some of your threads at top). Good on you for doing so!

Have you read this book, btw? Changed my life, it did. Made me feel as if I was not crazy for having residual side effects, even 3 years post-withdrawl:

Imagine a low to moderate benzo withdrawal that never ends instead of ends. Imagine it is anguish. Imagine it is biological & situational instead of a withdrawal that ends with time.

Now imagine that if you told anyone about this, they would say its your own fault or that taking a walk would help it, or that herbs / meditations /activities would help it

Now imagine that you already tried such suggestions and much more, hundreds and hundreds of them for years and years, and they never produced any results

Now imagine no one would ever understand that. and repeat the same, but with an essence of malice & hatred. Imagine also that 12 different doctors had no effect, in addition to your own efforts that are approximately 10 times more efforts than the average person in life & ultra hardcore.

Using permanent benzo withdrawal as an analogy to depression & anxiety that is NOT caused by any drugs, and is permanent instead of temporary, existing since birth, destroying life in agony.

When Srjceahd, what are the effects on society going to be when people who either need psychotropic or other mood stabilizers can't get access to these meds? Just occurred to me after seeing this post... Something else to considerdoomed

Benzodiazapine pharmaceutical drugs - common ones are valium, klonopin, xanax, diazapam, lorazapam http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_benzodiazepines

They are prescribed for anxiety and panic attacks, and extremely difficult to come off of. Hellish drugs, they are.

Mad crazy zombies would be the result. Double tap would be the remedy.

xanax, valium, ativan,Klonopin and such, though ativan isn't that strong.klonopin is kinda minty, and xanax is bitter sweet, and valium tastes like candy, damn i love valium, but xanax is so strong. and i love that taste as well. xanax makes you feel like you have been washed over, valium is kinda sleepy, klonopin is not really that strong but stronger than ativan. and ativan never really did anything at all

My single biggest fear in a sudden SHTF scenario is people having to go cold turkey off these meds. Of course, with benzos, the person would just be in a living hell, physically ill and unable to function (not much of a threat to others there, but a huge safety risk for the person themselves).

The bigger threat comes from anti-depressants, which often cause acute psychosis when stopped abruptly. In the case of many of the crazy mass shootings you hear about (school shootings, etc.) if you dig into the news reports, you'll often find that the person had recently stopped taking anti-depressants.

Then there's anti-psychotics, atypical antipsychotics, bi-polar meds. ALL have extreme withdrawl effects if a person is not able to taper down their dosage correctly. If anyone reading this takes any of these meds themselves, I'd recommend hoarding at least an extra month's worth of meds so that you can taper down in case there is an emergency that makes the meds inaccessible.

With an estimated 20% of the population on some type of psychotropic med, this is a very real concern.

I heard 20% of the US population is on psychiatric medications. I actually believe it's more so it's going to be really really really bad for a lot of people.
Then add those on life sustaining meds like asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure and it gets much much worse.
