Best Esoteric Literature

As we are all trying to expand our knowledge of the world around us, I was wondering if we could compile a list of important esoteric literature. It can be about pre-history, religion, ufo/aliens, prophecies, etc.. Whatever you feel we should be reading and exploring.

Even better would be a discussion of all the books mentioned in the thread (both pro and con). That way, we can have an informed opinion on what would be the best jumping off point for those of us who haven't had a chance to read a lot of stuff of this nature.

My knowledge on the topic is somewhat limited, but I'm happy to offer reviews of any books suggested in this thread. Please feel free to jump in to offer your opinions and we can go from there.

Okay, it's late and I'm rambling, but please offer suggestions. I will read as many of the suggested books as possible and hope others will do the same. Together, we can become even more informed.

The two sites should get you started.
http://www.occult-underground.com/ebooks.html
http://www.sacred-texts.com/eso/index.htm

As far as what to read, I'd say ALL of them.

Revelations,
Book of Daniel,
2nd Thessalonions chapter 2.

When you can understand these, you will be wise.

The LORD thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number,
and mighty is the army that obeys his command.
The day of the LORD is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it?

Oh wow, what an eclectic selection of topics. About to settle in for the night with The Genesis of the Grail Kings (saw it mentioned in another thread - potential disinfo, we'll see), but I have bookmarked the above links and will definitely be digging in.

Thank you.

Enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole. It's a doozy.

Raised Catholic, so I have read the bible as a kid, but maybe it's time to revisit both the old and new testaments.

Have you read any holy books from other religions? I'm afraid to say that I haven't, but it's high time to fix that. What do you say we both try reading something from the Koran and discuss what we find?

Here's a link that breaks it down by chapter: http://quod.lib.umich.edu/k/koran/browse.html

We don't have to read the whole thing. Maybe just one chapter and go from there.

I'm both looking forward to it, yet nervous about what I might find.
