The flaw I always see in theses type of theories is that the elites somehow always manage to escape the mayhem. Where in reality and historically it is they who after being identified as the bourgeois were the victims of the revolution of the day. But perhaps it is an inherit human flaw that keeps this reoccurring.

You are correct. He even has opposition in his own congress by those who are in the pocket of the Bankers. It would be interesting to see if some sore of currency crisis would force the issue.
