Phish is playing Sunday. They have the dirtiest fanbase on the planet. You couldn't pay me to be there this year.

I am pumped for Red Hot Chili Peppers tonight, and Battles in an hour!
Both are on my list to see live someday. Hopefully I will be crossing RHCP off that list in September!
I'm diggin the Sam Bush Band on channel 2 right now...

Thanks for the heads up on RHCP - I'd love to see them in person.
Seems you got a great taste in music - Phish, RHCP, Umphrey's McGee....
What say you on the band Dispatch? State Radio?

Anyone who meets me will say I have good taste because I like most anything, and all genres aside from polka... nothing ruins a good beer quicker than polka...
But Dispatch! Holy Shit! I just watched them, never heard them before... I'm in love! State Radio, I have not heard of, but will look into it now! Thank you! I am always on the hunt for new music. Which is why I love Bonnaroo so much... I usually discover at least a couple new bands there...
RHCP are touring currently... check into it. John Frusciante is no longer the guitarist though... but as long as Flea is on bass and Anthony on vocals... I'm excited...
You seem to have good taste as well. If you haven't heard them yet, check into Rodrigo y Gabriela... a spanish guitar duo that will blow your mind...
40 minutes!!!!!!

I concur.
The first time I saw them was this show:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNNK9B4txlE
I hadn't really listened to them before that show... but I sure did afterwards!!
I later saw them at Bonnaroo. A couple of times maybe? Bonnaroo can sometimes be a blur in my memory
I have the sudden urge to visit a Hippie Bar... Anyone know of any in Phoenix, AZ?!

40 minutes!!!!!!

Rodrigo y Gabriela.... Mental note!
As for State Radio: it's Chad Urmston's side project (lead singer of Dispatch). They rock equally as hard.
And I'm going to have to agree with RHCP: so long as they're there, it's still the Chili Peppers I know and love.
I've never been to Bonnaroo, but damn it I wish I could. I want to volunteer to avoid paying the ticket prices, but I hear you can't actually enjoy the festival if you do.
Damn, it looks like a good f*cking time.

BINGO! Dino DNA. I'm in your blood!

The Chilis haven't been the Chilis since Mother's Milk. They've been on a steady decline ever since imho. So glad I got to see Hilel.

Granted, their latest album wasn't typical Chili Peppers, but it was OK. MM was released in '89, so I would have been 3...
Each of their albums have a different sound - but that's not necessarily a bad thing, IMO. They still got a good funk to 'em.
I don't know, I guess I appreciate their energy.
One of my favorites, though:
