SEAL BEACH, Calif—

An unidentified creature was discovered Wednesday by a woman taking her daily walk along the shore in Seal Beach.
[snip]

The discovery is reminiscent of the so-called "Montauk Monster," an unidentified creature that allegedly washed up on a beach near the business district of Montauk, New York in July 2008.

I posted this last night and nobody cared. They kept saying it was a dog which it clearly was not. Here is the news story I posted and some other cases of this. I saw it on the local news and found a report online last night. Now I can't find the original but here is the same newscast posted on a paranormal site. I agree that the immediate disposal of the creature speaks volumes. The last wujo from Cliff did say to expect to see other-worldly creatures popping up. Just sayin.

Looks like a dead dog that's been in sea water for a bit.

Maybe some "Losers" in Long Beach harmed the dog, and threw it's remains into the water...

Or maybe the dog was chasing seagulls on the pier and simply overshot the edge.

I don't know why people don't want to know more about this unexplained creature. The implications of finding an unidentified animal are huge from a scientific perspective. Is somebody creating genetic hybrids that may occasionally be escaping? Is this a mutation due to env conditions? Is it from another realm or planet? Is it just a naturally occurring new species we have not classified yet? It is worth investigating. But no, let's say it is a dog and bury it. That makes sense. Sure, the news reported on a dead dog. Whatever!

It seems as though someone is conducting genetic experiments on animals on some isolated island thinking that it will be safe, since the ocean will act as a gigantic moat to prevent any of the "experiments" that escape from terrorizing the mainland population. There may be a real Island of Dr. Moreau out there.

All decomposition aside - this is, in no way, a seal.

BINGO! Dino DNA. I'm in your blood!

And I think the possum theory is crap too (from the video). Look at its tail.

In comparison:

This one died. Wonder if there are any of these bizarre creatures that survived the swim.

RE: California: Mystery creature washes ashore in Seal Beach
Are there any high resolution images of this creature? What i've seen so far are too grainy to get the needed details.

The animal looks like it has long gripping hind toes that might make it a tree climber, but the shoulders, forelegs and neck are stout and muscled making it look like it is a digger and maybe a burrow dweller. The tail is thick, thicker than most dog tails would be without the fur.

I'd like to see the nose and the teeth up close, too. That would make the elimination of other animals easier too.

Animals that have been in the water for a long time bear little resemblence to what they looked like, alive, at any rate.
