Just another Genetic experiment gone bad. Nothing to see here, move along and get back to your 9-to-5, McDonalds and Lady Gaga distractions.

Looks like a dead dog that's been in sea water for a bit.

Maybe some "Losers" in Long Beach harmed the dog, and threw it's remains into the water...

Or maybe the dog was chasing seagulls on the pier and simply overshot the edge.

It seems as though someone is conducting genetic experiments on animals on some isolated island thinking that it will be safe, since the ocean will act as a gigantic moat to prevent any of the "experiments" that escape from terrorizing the mainland population. There may be a real Island of Dr. Moreau out there.

I thought the same thing

Are there any high resolution images of this creature? What i've seen so far are too grainy to get the needed details.

The animal looks like it has long gripping hind toes that might make it a tree climber, but the shoulders, forelegs and neck are stout and muscled making it look like it is a digger and maybe a burrow dweller. The tail is thick, thicker than most dog tails would be without the fur.

I'd like to see the nose and the teeth up close, too. That would make the elimination of other animals easier too.

Animals that have been in the water for a long time bear little resemblence to what they looked like, alive, at any rate.

Good points. This is the only pic I have seen from all reports though.

Chupabra's cousin. Creature's like this seem almost like the stuff of mythology. Maybe some of mythology isn't myth.

agreed, its clearly a bloated dog minus most of the fur

I spent years trapping and that look like a dog carcass to me, any animal in the water long enough will lose its fur

the media likes to call it a monster because thats how you get people to view your idiot tv station

funny how no shark got it
