Camping-Prepping-Survival Question. Please Help
I'm getting ready for the storm since I live in Upstate New York and I found a small fuel burner in my camping gear. The problem is, I don't know which fuel to get for it. Here's a picture of it. Should I buy Lighter Fluid or Rubbing Alcohol? It's got an absorbent bottom with a metal screen on top. I've already got a small lamp oil heater but I wanted to make use of this as well.

This is my oil lamp burner under my "emergency stove".

I've never used the oil burner either. Any advice?

I'm going out tomorrow morning in search of odorless lamp oil but I thought I would pick up some fuel for the other burner as well. I'm not sure which one is cheaper or more efficient to use so I thought I'd try both.

Ok, thanks. I hope the stores haven't sold out. Flashlights are going like crazy here. I decided to go old school.

It's the last thing I need. I'm very prepped otherwise. Rubbing alcohol and lighter fluid won't be hard to find at all tomorrow. I'm not sure about the lamp oil.

Shellite or naptha (the stuff in Zippo fuel)
These fuels are are clean burning and will evaporate 100% and leave no residue or smell if you spill them.

Is Zippo fuel different than lighter fluid?

Lamp oil the hardware stores. You will only need about a 1/8 ' too 1/4 " of wick sticking out of the bottle. Too much and it burns the wick.
