christianity is just another word for follower. there were plenty of followers in j-mans time( assuming he actually existed),,,...in fact it is my understanding that what he preached was not to follow which may have been what got him killed(again assuming that he was ever alive)

so following jesus means being your own intercessor....you don't follow anyone.
