Can we be cut off from Source/God if...
Can we be cut off from Source/God if we cut ourselves off from Nature/Mother Earth and our own humanity?
Ie by living far from nature, and far from our own "humanity", from each other.
Think, the movie Avatar when the trees were being destroyed, how their connection was somewhat severed.

RE: Can we be cut off from Source/God if...
Personally, I think so.
I think of it in terms of the positive and negative ions in the air around us too. The positive man-made ions that are prevalent in and around cities can be reflected in our moods and how we feel, just like the negative ions present around the water and in nature do.
I don't think the ancients we stupid fools who knew nothing of their environments. I think they were much more in tune to it and didn't have the "interference" modern man does.
my take.....

Every living thing affects its environment in some way, for instance fungi and bacteria produce antibiotics to reduce competition for food.
I think the best way is to find a balance with nature which we depend on for our own survival.
I don't believe we are ever cut off from the source, we are always a part of it.

RE: Can we be cut off from Source/God if...
I guess it depends on whether you see that "AllOne" as ecompassing only humanity on the Earth, or the whole Universe and all Universes.
If the AllOne/"God" is limited to the "earth" and it's people only, then... well if we are disconnected from each other and nature/Earth we are also disconnected from God.
... I just think we shouldn't neglect Earth and our own connections to each other so much.
I bet, even the celibate monks or hermits Still had a connection to Nature. That would mean they weren't exactly all just "hermits". They still needed the sun, they still needed fresh air, they still needed to eat, and communicate with the plants, the sacred geometries of Earth, the Cosmos from below, everything together..
BUt eventually I think hermitism is not the best path either.. it's not "whole" because you're denying/neglecting your own human nature. How can you then overcome your own human nature if you are always running away from it? Well, unless you already overcame it, and then ran away.. but then you wouldn't be "human" then would you?

I think thats what we did
Let us bring in the new day
Without violence or hatred
Let all that does not belong stay
For ALL our souls are tethered...

Of course.. but when it comes to "calling upon the source" for peace, for justice, help, whatever it's somewhat limiting if we are neglecting our nature.

RE: Can we be cut off from Source/God if...
It's like I guess when some Christians think all they have to do is pray, and everything will be better. People die because they think this......
People who think it's all just "in the mind". It may start in the mind.. but what if you're sick, in the mind due to physical neglect, or physical diseases, what then? You can't believe in superstition.
There's a point where if you go too far, it may never get any better. and you'll just have to accept that. At least if you want to move on from there.

We're having the "human" experience for a reason. And we have choices and decisions to make during it.

I think there are two forms of death. One physical death and one spiritual death. In order to answer your question, I think you may need to define what a soul is and if it really exists or not.

The AllOne as you call it, cannot be limited to just earth, and then on this incredibly diverse planet, to just humans.

No matter what, you can never be cut off from Source. The Source is actually in control. We just like to think that we are.

And besides having to evaluate a different perspective as you mentioned, one should also define where the mind ends if a mind exists.

In some circles, disrespecting Mother Nature is disrespecting the Holy Spirit.

Well I see the spiritual death as simply "ego" death. It's not like destroying the soul.
Soul and spirit are not the same according to me. Spirit is less personal. Soul is the Psyche.
