beermug Celebrities I've Driven in My Taxi....
I used to drive for a few shuttle/taxi services when I lived in Knoxville, TN. I drove a handful of celebrities around. I was just trying to remember them because I had been posting in a thread about Kirk Cameron. I drove Alan Thicke around for a week once. He was playing the lead in "Chicago" and I would take him from the Hilton downtown to his show.

I also drove the voice of "Sleeping Beauty". She lived in Knoxville and was nice enough to autograph a poster for my sister.

There was that douchebag young politician analyst that used to wear a bowtie.

I drove the road crew for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters when they stayed in Knoxville. They invited me to a Strip Club. That was a good time...

I drove the female marine that inspired the movie about teaching inner city kids. She had written a book about it and it was made into a movie.

Hmmm.....

I drove the guitar player from Toad the Wet Sprocket and he gave me tickets to their show. That was the last concert I've seen....

I drove the road crew for Snoop Dogg back when I used to work at a Hotel in Knoxville. I even let them borrow my snare drum for their show because they left 2 of their drums at the last venue.

I'm a little buzzed... that was fun trying to remember.... I know there are more but I'm going to go to bed soon....

I used to do a cable radio show. One of the few things that it was good for was the press pass. Used it to go to shows in LA back in the day. Toad was one of the bands I remember from that time.

Living in LA, you see celebrities pretty often.

What made you stop driving a taxi, Skip?

RE: Celebrities I've Driven in My Taxi....
we lived in fountain city for about 6 months. i won tickets to see a band called Zoso, Led Zep Cover band. a bouncer shoved my girlfriend and i got in a fight. we had to leave her car. it was the first time i ever rode in a taxi and it was one of those green and white vans? i think.
she had me drinking red headed sluts and flaming Dr. Peppers, girl drinks LoL, i never went back to another bar.

but i bet you were the driver. LoL, that would be f*cked up wouldnt it?

quik edit: she talked a cop out of arresting me. and the bouncers out of charging me, or pressing charges.
. i hate bars.

I used to have a shirt that used to belong to James Taylor. At least that's what my sister told me when she gave it to me. She got it from a friend of hers that used to be James Taylor's housekeeper. I was a white East Indian style, collarless, with multicolored embroidery and mirrors all over the front. Pretty flashy.

Skippy, do you know how lame you sound?

Famous people are just that, people, but you are trying to ride on the coat tails of those that weren't even famous, merely closely affiliated.

I could tell you stories, but to be honest, you remind me of an encounter I had in London when I was a pub manager. I had some American wankker trying to gain favours based upon who he was. He said. do you know who I am? when I politely refused his request.

I honestly told him no! He responded I am Nick Nolte, or some other wanker's, brother. I took great delight in throwing him on the street cursing me for not recognising true greatness.

As I said before, you throw up some shit threads, but at times, if you sift beneath the manure, there is gold underneath. This is not one of them. This is the most pathetic thread you have ever posted.

Think about my words and see that your attempt at aligning yourself with fame only debases yourself.

We don't give a f*ck.

Seriously, you have sunk even lower in my estimation and I don't say that to be mean. I seriously feel like being far harsher with my words, but I don't like to belittle people!!!

Seriously, ponder my words before you make another me, me, me, me thread. No one cares about your brushes with semi famous people. Or if they do, they need to be taught what is really important in life too.

Some of us are curious. I mean the post is a nice break from false predictions, false conspiracies, and other utter wastes of time (I.E. I just took a crap, ask me a question).

You may be missing the humor here? I'm assuming that Skippy knows that going to a strip club with the road crew for Toad the Wet Sprocket is not going to win him fame points. Maybe I'm giving him too much credit?
