That's just light reflecting off the surface of Venus and Mars and refracting off a weather balloon that crashed in to some swamp gas.......

I bet a weather front is moving through. I predict a big upswing in sticky trails because it is autumn and the weather is changing into winter patterns with more moisture aloft. I am seeing here, too.

I can tell you those jets are in the air everyday whether or not you see visible trails. I see them day and night, every day and night. They may not be easy to see when no trails stick, but they are there.

Go out somewhere very quiet and you will even hear them fly overhead. I know I can. Every day. Every night. Early morning is a good time to see trailless jets, in the west they will be much easier to see as the sun reflects off of them.

Look at the crush of air traffic in this simulation, and that is from 2006! Air traffic is practically growing exponentially so by six years later imagine the traffic jam going on in the air. I know I've seen new flights coming overhead in just the last few years.

We had total white out conditions over the weekend on the South Carolina coast and no rain.

Today, the sun is trying to peak through the pale blue, whited out sky.

It's been the story here for months now.
