Cops Confiscate Cameras at Ohio Congressman’s Town Hall

A congressman from Ohio had cops grab the cameras of constituents during a town hall meeting. Steve Chabot, a Republican, had cell phones and cameras confiscated in order to “prevent an embarrassing Youtube video from making the rounds,” according to Carlos Miller, who runs a blog documenting efforts by the state to stifle the First Amendment rights of photographers.

Police said the cameras were taken “to protect the constituents.” A local television station, however, was allowed to videotape the meeting and the brazen move by Chabot and the cops.

lol TV stations can be forced to edit video (at gunpoint if needed).
I have one of those spy pens that is a video camera and will record about an hour of vid. Cost about 80 bucks, looks just like a pen (even writes if someone decides to check it) and produces high quality recordings, so that "embarrassing" moment can still be caught !

Under the heat of an alien sun .....

When I was a kid security would put whatever they would take from you in a envelope and you would put your name on it, then they would give you your property back afterwards. Nowadays they just keep your stuff and steal it from you. I would not vote for whoever this guy is for doing this.

Seems like the Police should not be able to legally confiscate cameras, based upon an "Oral" order of a single Congress Person (unless the person is a sitting Judge<==(who would have this power).

One day soon (I hope) cameras will be too small to detect or hide from.

All will be revealed.

Imagine it. Microscopic eyes and ears carried on the wind to the corners of the globe all meshed into one quantum AI. No one will be able to harm another without it being witnessed and recorded for eternity. Hmm. Why does that sound familiar?

The sheeple should have attacked the "officer". It's hard to collect cameras with broken arms.
