The Pacific Ocean appears to be dying, according to a new study recently published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Scientists from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) in California recently discovered that the number of dead sea creatures blanketing the floor of the Pacific is higher than it has ever been in the 24 years that monitoring has taken place, a phenomenon that the data suggests is a direct consequence of nuclear fallout from Fukushima.

“In the 24 years of this study, the past two years have been the biggest amounts of this detritus by far,” stated Christine Huffard, a marine biologist at MBARI and leader of the study, to National Geographic."

No more sea life means no more oxygen in our atmosphere

more about the west coast:

The west coast of the United States is being absolutely fried by radiation from the Fukushima nuclear disaster, and the mainstream media is not telling us the truth about this. What you are about to see is a collection of evidence that is quite startling. Taken collectively, this body of evidence shows that nuclear radiation from Fukushima is affecting sea life in the Pacific Ocean and animal life along the west coast of North America in some extraordinary ways. But the mainstream media continues to insist that we don’t have a thing to worry about. The mainstream media continues to insist that radiation levels in the Pacific and along the west coast are perfectly safe. Are they lying to us? Evaluate the evidence compiled below and come to your own conclusions…

#2 According to Oceanus Magazine, the total amount of cesium-137 that has been released into the Pacific Ocean from Fukushima is 10,000 to 100,000 times greater than the amount released into the oceans by the Chernobyl disaster or by the atmospheric nuclear weapons tests of the 1960s.

#5 Something is causing starfish all along the west coast of the United States to literally disintegrate into piles of “white goo“…

Researchers say nuclear pollution from the 2011 earthquake in Japan that damaged the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant could be partially to blame for a disease wiping out starfish along the West Coast.

Dr. Peter Raimondi of the University of Santa Cruz says something is making starfish susceptible to whats believed to be a bacteria coined “Wasting Disease.” It essentially disintegrate the marine invertebrates into a white goo, after the starfish loses its legs.

#11 There is an epidemic of sea lion deaths along the California coastline.

What a load of f*cking garbage

this is bullshit is a basic understanding of marine biology and that specific species of plankton eating organisms die en-mass after consuming huge amounts of food from under-sea algae blooms. This is a definite indication that the California coast is badly polluted, but not from radiation because
radiation poisoning is a phenomenon that kills things slowly overtime. The fact that these marine bodies detected on the ocean floor seemed to have died quickly and all at once is actually very strong evidence that this was not radiation.

99% unsupported bullshit

Whether it is radiation pollution or other kinds of pollution who cares ? It's still pollution. Bottom line is....the human race is dirty and poisoning its own home.

There is much misinfo in your post.

I'll point to the two biggest parts...

1. - "Dead sea creatures cover 98 percent of ocean floor off California coast!!!"

Actually, sea creatures naturally live and die. They have, they do now, and they will continue to do so. Sea creatures exist in all the world's oceans. Dead sea creatures cover 100% of ocean floors, worldwide.

2. - "No more sea life means no more oxygen in our atmosphere"

The reality is, our oceans are not the only source of oxygen for our planet. In fact, they are not even the major contributor of oxygen. Land based plant life trumps the oceans for oxygen production.

can agree with you,but we're cutting those forests down aswell.

Survey of supposed deep-sea chemical munitions dump off Southern California

Quote:Since World War II, US nautical charts have shown seven "chemical munitions dumping areas" along the Pacific Coast between San Francisco and the Mexican border. However, little or no information is available about the amount, location, or nature of the materials that were dumped at most of these sites

Wait wait wait.

Alot of variables to go through here.

While not denying this phenomenon is occurring, I see it alot of the shore, lots of dead carcuses of crabs and jellyfish and whatnot, more than ever, the scientists are attributing this to low oxygen levels in the Pacific. I think the ocean is becoming warmer, more acidic, and it just takes a little uptick in acidity or temp to cause die off, and the dead material takes up the oxygen in the water. Same thing happens on a smaller scale to a river when Nitrogen, Phosporous and Ammonia are discharged from a sewage treatment plant. The oceans are the worlds largest carbon sinks, but even those sinks are finite.
