Do you know where you live? The Pisces-Cetus Supercluster Complex
We get into a lot of talks about the the Solar system, and our galaxy - the Milky Way. For most the size of our galaxy, let alone our Solar system, is beyond comprehension.

We're talking galaxies:

With anywhere from 10 million to a 100 trillion stars!! Jhikpghf

For those that can fathom it - it's never without inspiring awe in the scale of it. The Pisces-Cetus Supercluster Complex is the second largest proper noun known to man. Scream1

This is the Pisces-Cetus Supercluster Complex, we live in the Virgo Supercluster towards the middle. (These are all galaxies)

This is the Virgo Supercluster, we live in the ever so imaginatively named "Local group" of galaxies
[Image: 173A_4F99214D.gif]

Here are some of our neighboring galaxies. Don't be shy!

And that's just OUR Supercluster Complex! We can see dozens doomed

And that's not even getting into the walls of the universe!

(Hint: Don't lick them)
chuckle

I hope this helps put perspective on anything troubling. In the grand scheme, we're just a speck!

Just a speck? If you believe that, then that is just what you are. Think bigger, and you can be more than just a speck. Could even be a Star. Or you can be something even better. Don't look at yourself as insignificant... ever.

Oh no, I don't. I think our entire Milky Way is this very awesome tiny little incy wincy speck!

And yeah we all used to be a star. Most of our entire solar system was formed from the death of a giant star. The pieces that make you, me, our computers, the cables that connect them and the land that they lay on - All glowed with the brilliant luminescence of 100 of our warm life giving Suns!

Literally true story bro. Jhikpghf

I filmed that on a recent trip to see what was left of my old home near Betelgeuse. The first pair of stars I passed was in the Centauri group. Then I went by the andromeda galaxy which is in our local group. By then I was so drunk I don't where I went but I woke up in the Betelguese solar system.

BTW - Betelguese has supernovaed and you have about 6 months to find a new solar system. I just bought a nice place on Ceti Alpha 5.

Strange you should say that about Betelguese - I've noticed the last year or so that it (and Alderberan) are significantly more 'deep' red...

The last 2-3 months - each time I look at them (Betelguese in particular) I get a very strong feeling that it has already (as you say so nicely) supernovaed - and we are just about to 'see' the results - GRP? There are worse ways to go!
