Does anyone ever feel like a victim of programming??
Has anyone ever felt like they are living in one of those movies/TV PROGRAMS with one world governments, controlled medias, distracting entertainment technologies, lack of individualism, etc?
Point being, I think the...influx, abundance, over stimulation....of movies and programs with targeted plot lines and consistant themes just makes me wonder.....
Are we all being programmed on a mass level/large scale so that when...rights are stripped away, attacks occur, or news stories break....we are more apt to not question and actually EXPECT these outcomes...?
Feel free to add to my tiny list....

I don't feel as though I am a victim of programming partially because I am not aware of any programming that is being done to me. I don't watch TV intentionally anyway.
I do recognize that my thinking is much different than other people. A lot of people relate to real life to what they see on TV. They talk about TV, they are influenced by its message. And most importantly they never question it.
I may be programmed still by what I see. It is easy to develop a bias for a media source and begin to stop asking questions. I followed ZeroHedge for a year before realizing that what they were saying over and over again was simply not going to pan out the way they said it would. Only recently did I recognize the fact that RT is a state owned media channel and realize they are spinning the facts in the best light for their government.
Indeed we live in the age of yellow journalism. I read somewhere that you have to become your own editor. I find this to be a good observation.

Good answer, do you perhaps feel other around you are 'victims' so to speak?
I agree, even the fringe or what appears to be 'non MSM' shows/sites are actually sub-MSM mediums that have the same agenda and goals.
Be your own editor? I like it, thanks for the reply!!

Yes I do feel most people are victims of mass media and I do mean this strongly. Think about it, we have a lousy government. That government wouldn't be the way it is if we had a media that didn't denounce ross perot as a wasted vote. If the media cared about democracy it would be critizing electronic voting at least once a week for weeks every year. And so on. The media is feeding us what someone powerful needs us to believe not what we ought to know in order to make truly informed decisions.
It all started to go rapidly down hill with Reagan when he allowed media companys to buy each other out and consolidate. It used to be illegal for one media company to own multiple radio or tv stations in the same town.
Now 5-6 media companys run the whole perception industry. Some of the board of directors on one media company might serve on other media companies, and might serve in other large corporations boards as well. What is good for the goose is good for the gander so to say. We are the goose shit.
