cow Dog shooting sparks anger in internet community - Birmingham police probe incident
May 3rd 2012

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- Police are investigating the Wednesday night shooting of a dog that has sparked outrage among dog-lovers in the internet community.

A Facebook post (no longer available for viewing) shows a graphic photo of the dead dog. The text reads, "This beautiful pit mix baby, only 4-5 months old, was just gunned down by the Birmingham, Alabama Police Department less than two hours ago. He had been rescued, had beaten parvo, and lived with one of my FB friends, who I talk to all the time...only to be blown away by some cowardly (expletive) with badges. Six gunshots for a 5-month-old puppy who had escaped his yard and run back home. Left in a pool of blood at the gate to his house. Cops overheard bragging about the loudness of the gunshots."

People have complained about the incident on the police department's Facebook page, and sent emails to The Birmingham News demanding action be taken.

You do need to remember that one year for a dog is like seven for a human, so it isn't like the cop shot a five month old... think of more like shooting an almost 3 year old.

Peace, Love, and Cold Beer.

We have raised an entire generation of cowards in the police. But, the silver lining, some of these people are starting to wake up.

This could get interesting.

If you pause at key points of this thread's title it takes on a whole new meaning,....

Dog shooting sparks,.... From where?

anger in internet community,.... Seems normal.

Birmingham police probe incident,.... Sounds like a cavity search. Seems normal. chuckle
