Remember that these are the same creatures that are reported as saving human lives all over the world. Be it from sharks, drownings etc...there are always positive reports. I would imagine that there is more to this story.

Edit: humans being the idiots that they are, have been terrorizing the dolphin with jet skis and the like.
So, of course, humans will put this dolphin down for protecting itself.

I thought of that too - that it's a message to get out of the ocean. Maybe dolphins could go crazy like the elephants did after their way of life and habitat were destroyed. The oceans are almost destroyed with oil, chemicals and radiation.
