Dying 28 year old's candid good-bye video
Advertisement
Be forewarned: This isn't a video with an uplifting ending. The final piece of Eric McLean's five-year video blog, titled "Eric's Confession Final," is a candid, heart-wrenching message that will almost certainly make you cry. However, along with the tears it will also give you a better appreciation of just how exceptionally brave this 28-year-old is. The resident of Two Rivers, Wis., has spent half a decade battling acute myelogenous leukemia, which returned after he’d beaten it as a teen. In his final goodbye, he confesses he is scared but also notes how grateful he is to everyone and how much love he feels. Blessings on your journey, Eric

Bump it up so others have a chance to see it and it does not get burried among all the superfalous and stupid threads.

prayers holy spirit please take his fears away

This video left me in tears

Everytime we feel like we are "drowning" is life's situations... don't worry our savior walks on water

A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials.

You gotta fight Life even if beloved, and supposed to be on top of the worldHugs

I never condone caveing in, but sometimes it´s ok if not fit 2 utter a single word, but scream silently, then I´m ok with abusein drugsHugs

She a wonderful fragile Woman, but still dare to sing Elvis with a fragile Voice, pure braveness I wai 2 even if not my fav Girlie (just a little bit).

Send to your suicidal friends. Maybe they will appreciate what they have, maybe not.

From http://www.cracked.com/blog/14-photograp...z23knGGtYW

"Movies have given us a skewed idea of how it works, because there, when a character enters his "dark period," it's with a montage full of sad music and drinking and moping in dim rooms. Real life isn't like that. Not only do moods fluctuate, but even when you're at your lowest you find yourself in social situations where you're not allowed to show it. If you're in a dark place but can't get out of your nephew's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's, you're going to put on a smile for the camera. You feel selfish bringing everybody else down."

I'm watching this video. It basically makes me angry and depressed. I think his pain is unfair. But you really don't understand what goes on in the mind of the suicidal.

In the words of Wes Anderson: I love you very much but you have no idea what you're talking about.

This a wonderful Male, it seems so why no Girlies?
Life is strange for sure.

I wish Him all Power He can find on His own, and if not there must be a Love He miss deep inside.

There are plenty of cures, but most people trust the pharma doctors until very end.

It touches the heart deeply to see such courage and honesty in a fellow human being who is facing death. I prayed that the Lord will send Eric one of His holy messengers to comfort this brave soul and dispel his fear and make his passing peaceful.

God bless you Eric.

It´s not a nice path to pass out, but most Patients end up very Brave, and if supported by close Fam with Humor/Music/suprice some even beat it.

Food/Water is core though, if loose lust for food not even a prittei Girlie you Love more then death will fire you upTissue

RE: Dying 28 year old's candid good-bye video
Hmmm.....well not knowing anything about this guy or his type of cancer, I'll refrain from saying what I really think. I ain't seeing a whole lot of bravery, for one....anyways, let me tell you a story. I may or may not have posted about this before.

On June 11, I had my friend Toni and her friend Catherine over for a patio girls get together. I had known Catherine through exercise class these past few years, a few parties at her house, a kind and terrific human being. Toni and I last saw her in March and knew she was going through chemo again, after relatively holding her own for a quite a while. She looked pretty bad back then so we teared up a bit and made it a point to get us all together.

On 6/11, Catherine drove herself over to my house, brought gifts for us as was her nature, ate a few bites and hung in there for a good couple of hours!

We were both shocked by her appearance from the TREATMENT (that's what killed her, imho) when she came over. Even her voice was unrecognizable. The breast cancer had been spreading. But we kept things light and normal, because she set the tone....just a normal get together, because everyone knew what was going on. That was her nature too. Never complained, just joked about it. God we didn't realize how bad it was. It was a really nice evening. She drove herself home, a good 20 minutes or so from my house.

Looking back now, I realize she was making the rounds to say goodbye.

She died on July 4th.

Some of us put on a good show in front of our circles, when really we're on the way out.

Would you want someone to remember you being happy, with smiles and enjoying your company or being miserable?

Sorry about your loss, was a strong lady to hold it together like that.
