I think an EMP may be the 'answer' to their next war they 'need', gives them an enemy AND would give all these states FEDERAL money to upgrade their long neglected energy grids.

We know Newt doesn't have original ideas. He probably heard this many times from Congressman Roscoe Bartlett who's been advocating for hardening our grid against EMP for well over a decade.

Bartlett's the real deal. And he's got his own bugout cabin that he built himself.

The thing you may be unaware of is that an EMP strong enough to take down our grid (from the sun) is INEVITABLE. It's going to happen.

It's likely to happen in our lifetimes. The big ones happen that often.

I'm glad fox news ran the story. Too bad they didn't tell people how to freaking prep for food, water and heat. Fox actually could have been useful for a change.
