When star rapper Eminem was in town, you would think hotel staff could lose themselves pandering to a host of his demands.

But the "Stan" artist wants nothing more than tinfoil wrapped around the windows of his hotel room to keep out all the light and white noise playing through speakers to ensure he gets a good night's rest.

"The noise and darkness gets Eminem the best night's sleep. He uses the technique as he's always jumping time zones," a source said.

In the past, the 39-year-old reportedly made a string of demands for his vast entourage during concert tours, including renting entire hotel floors and insisting on private elevators.

I think Eminem has been awake for a long time, hes just milking the cow for all it's worth, I would do the same. He went out of his way and made that Tupac movie.... Wait to see what he really talks about when he drops off the scene Heartflowers

Go ahead and laugh, but covering windows in aluminum foil is one of the best most fool-proof ways of totally sealing out all light intrustion.

And the white noise works like a charm, too.

I work nights and sleep days, and my bedroom is very dark (blankets, not aluminum foil but it's close) and I run the fan on my AC unit all the time for the background noise. I always have the TV on low also, just enough to create a barely audible background murmur.

I sleep like a baby...
