Enemies of Man I: Corporate Elementals.
If you don't believe in sorcery and such, I wouldn't worry too much about this thread.
To understand it better, I recommend Dion Fortune's Psyhic Self-Defense and Applied Magic where she talks at length on the generation of group elementals.
Basically, we begin with the fact that all group activities generate a group elemental which in turn eventually takes over dominion of the group when proper precautions are not made (and trust me, no one but initiates take such precuations). Now, add the lack of legal or regional responsibility that multinational corporations enjoy and you have a recipe for the generation of nonhuman entities with no alleigance to anyone or anything except short term profit. Humans are mere resources to be used and cast aside.
Now, the interesting question for sorcerors, or more properly in this case, perhaps, magicians, is that as elementals with strong identities, these entities could theoretically be summoned, and perhaps controlled by the enterprising wizard, to his/her own or humanty's benefit.
Your thoughts?

Control of others is a coincidental illusion.
It always comes back to bite you.

Morning TM
I dunno mate , Do we want Elementals "running" around wall street or the City? I'd say that would make the work-force uneasy and reduce profit.
"Penile Quasar" ???

Morning, Rich.
I'd say they already are running around making life uneasy for everyone. But, that's just me.

RE: Enemies of Man I: Corporate Elementals.
Sadly, such a game is not for me. I've become the most powerful of sorcerers by taking a Taoist approach to the world. I let the world do what it's going to do, and I will not lift a finger to stop it. I have moved beyond the guilt prison to the land of I don't care...
Which leaves me nothing to do with my vast power. Comical really.

Semantics.
The intent is the catalyst, which is why the adepts do not act on the behalf of humanity.

I don't disagree. Not something I would do. I just make observations.

See, I won't even lift a finger to help myself, Rich. It's the only way to acheive ultimate power. To not use it. The exception I grant myself is art. And I barely write anymore, and when I do, I avoid corporate publication (I'm a novelist of some note, or at least I was).
I stand happily at the back of the queue...doing nothing.
