When i readit, i was thinking it was going to be all destruction and monster out of control.

In fact ,Frankenstein talks you to death and the philosophy isn't even that good.

Booo-ring book.

Absolutely hated it.

One of THE WORST Signet Classics in their whole arsenal.

Do you enjoy Hemingway?

Didnt have em on the shelf to read...(Long story)..so no.

I dont like Tolstoy either, though.

There simply is no.... How can I put this.. page turning content , you feel like you are laboring through their effort to write.

Don't get me wrong though, I wouldn't have passed up reading any of the stuff i have read. I guess its just not my area of interest in these cases.

I thought you might like Hemingway. I love Frankenstein and Tolstoy and can't stand Hemingway...so figured you might enjoy him. There is literature for everyone! I also can't stand Ayn Rand but others love her. Maybe something there for ya...

RE: FRANKENSTEIN -- BIO/DISSCUSSION/JOKES/FACTS/LORE/STORIES
“His talent was as natural as the pattern that was made by the dust on a butterfly's wings. At one time he understood it no more than the butterfly did and he did not know when it was brushed or marred. Later he became conscious of his damaged wings and of their construction and he learned to think and could not fly any more because the love of flight was gone and he could only remember when it had been effortless.”
― Ernest Hemingway

“You expected to be sad in the fall. Part of you died each year when the leaves fell from the trees and their branches were bare against the wind and the cold, wintery light. But you knew there would always be the spring, as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person died for no reason.”
― Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable Feast

Oh, Lord.

No, I couldn't take "clap-trap" like that.

I will quote only one thing that he gave that is useful and I wish he would have actually used it.

“The most essential gift for a good writer is a built-in, shockproof, shit detector.”

You want to read a good signet classic eyewitness, read Moby Dick, and

Wait for the moment the 1st hand has the black guy go and tell the sharks to stop smacking their lips and such because they are making too much noise eating the whale they have strapped to the side of the ship and is disturbing his meal.

haha.
