Facebook photo used to make an arrest...
Baraboo - A Baraboo woman has been arrested after police used a Facebook photo of her bright new hairstyle to connect her to the scene of a burglary.

Krysta L. Skaife is charged with being party to a felony count of burglary. A Baraboo News Republic report says the 27-year-old is accused of breaking into a home and taking money and electronics, including two TVs.

The victims' neighbor told police he saw a woman with red hair carrying items to her car. The neighbor knew the suspect's father but didn't know her name.

Police used that information to find a photo posted to Facebook 17 hours earlier that showed her "pinkish-red hair." That allowed the neighbor to confirm her identity.

Only an idiot would know they broke the law, know they are wanted by the police for breaking the law and post a new picture of themselves on FB.

RE: Facebook photo used to make an arrest...
It's real simple.

Always assume "the fine print" on ANY website or computer application is basically a way of being raped without you ever knowing about it until it's over and too late.

In the case of Facebook, that means to assume that anything and everything you post to their site (to "your page" which is really THEIRS) is accompanied by an agreement that you allow "the authorities" to view them at any time.

If that bothers you, then don't use the internet and don't use a computer.

Not really that hard. Facebook is private, even if they did just play the "public" IPO game... that's what the elite do, they play betting games with the world's wealth. Anyhow... point is... private = you giving THEM your rights and your property when you use their site.
